My very debut as Ferrando (that was needed to be prepared in only 19 days!) in the concert performance of "Il Trovatore" at Teatro Verdura in Palermo with maestro Daniel Oren @danieloren_official and choir and orchestra of Teatro Massimo @teatromassimo.OPERAWIRE: “Ferrando was played by Sava Vemic. He possesses a well-supported, clear toned bass which he used well to characterize the part. In the opening scene he successfully captured the horror of the events which led to the present situation. In Wagner’s “Tannhäuser”, Landgraf Hermann speaks these lines to his niece Elisabeth at the court of Wartburg reffering to her “sweet secret” as her unspoken love for Tannhäuser, which she has not yet openly expressed. He says this because he senses her inner emotional conflict and wishes to preserve her innocence and the purity of her feelings. Welcome!The Execution of Stepan Razin by Dmitri Shostakovich portrays the final moments of the rebellious Cossack leader before his public execution in Moscow.
