I just realized today, I didn’t actually list a few of my labels that I updated to my new material 🤦🏽‍♀️. There were about 3 listings that I had updated last weekend but didn’t actually list them in my shop. The fall tags were one of those. I also added back a few more of my coffee tags. I am hoping to get some time tomorrow to make some things either knit or crochet, I haven’t decided…it has been too long since I have been able to sit and do either, I am starting to miss it.

When a knitted pumpkin needs a leaf, it should be a faux pumpkin leaf 😁.
.
My husband drew a pumpkin leaf for me to use for my fabric leaves, because I believe yarn pumpkins should have pumpkin leaves 😊.
.
This is one of my favorite ways to dress up a yarn pumpkin 🥰.

Thursday was the first day of school and I was able to give my first day of school gifts! Here is a peak at one of the 3 gifts I made up for my boys teachers this year.

I just added the “Welcome Back to the Grind” tag to my blog 🤗. You can find this cute tag as a freebie download on my newest post. I will be using these tags for my Children’s teachers back to school gifts, I am still getting the ones for the teachers made up and I can’t wait to show you the finished gifts. I love giving first day of school gifts 😊!

The shop is back open. I was able to get a few more items added back to the shop and will be adding some of my holiday and fall labels tomorrow.

I am planning another freebie printable for next week so stay tuned for more details…hint it is back to school related and will go great with the teacher coffee cup patch 😊.

I decided to add a flower charm to a moss crossbody phone purse and it is too cute. I will be using it tomorrow on whatever adventure I go on . I normally put my phone and my sunglasses in this little bag, but excited to try hanging the glasses on the new flower sunnies holder.

I finally found the file for the flower bag tag that I made 🤗. In April 2024 I made flower bag charms for my coworker friends and designed a tag to go with them. I saved the file in a weird place and wasn’t able to find it. I drew the bag and flower and wasn’t feeling like re-doing it so I sort of forgot about it until yesterday when I happened to find the file! I decided to add it to my blog before leaving on my trip. You can download the printable for free, I added the link in my stories!

I think the tag also works great with the new sunnies holder style flower charm too. I am planning to add a complete tag set to the shop but it will be a few weeks before I can work on that.

I thought I would share how I made these in a post. I won’t be able to get a video and pattern for this until I get back from my trip, but I am hoping for some this will help you make one if you wanted.

Hook J 6mm
Optional Lobster Clasp Keychain

Swipe for the steps to make your own Sunnies 😎 Flower!

Start with a MAR and work 10sc into the ring. Join with a slst and attach your second color. Do not cut first color yarn just yet.

Ch2, 2dc into the same stitch.

Ch3 slst into the next st. This is one petal. *Slst into the next st, ch2, 2dc into the same stitch, ch3 slst into the next st. Repeat from * to end. You will have 5 petals.

Join with a slst. Cut yarn tail from color 2, then pull to back of work.

If you want to make a loop to attach, working on the wrong side, you want to grab the center color yarn (yellow yarn) with your hook.

Make a chain of 14-16.

Now trim yarn leaving at least 4-5” to weave in.

When weaving in the yarn tails, you will weave counter clockwise with the tail from the chain.

Then weave in the yarn tail from the MAR clockwise.

Meet back at the starting point, tie with a secure knot and trim extra yarn.

Repeat with color 2 yarn (white yarn).

When I weave in the yarn from color 2, I cinch just slightly to bring the stitches from the petals closer together. Just be sure not to cinch too much.

And there you have it, a Sunnies 😎 Flower with a loop to attach to a bag!

You can also add a keychain lobster clip of some sort, instead of creating a chain, weave in the yarn tails and attach with a metal ring.

One thing I realized is I should use a different bag, though I feel like my sunglasses are secure, they swing more than I would like when I use the flower on this bag.

But even without the sunglasses the flower is so cute! by @savlabot

I added a freebie printable to my blog. It has been a long time since I have added anything to my blog and I need to try and find time to work on it more.

Pumpkin season will be here soon! I thought adding this tag now would be good for those prepping already for fall makes!

I am also heading out of town for my last summer trip before school starts. I will have some
items unavailable for a week or so while I am off on an adventure. I will be deactivating the listings this afternoon and getting everything that sells today out in the mail tomorrow.

I love my little flower sunglasses holder 🥰. I decided to try it out with a crochet chain too, that you slip onto attach and I must say I think this is a great way to finish it especially if you don’t have a lobster clasp keychain like in this photo. Swipe to see my version 2!

Also, this is a perfect stash buster!

Alternate attachment using a chain of 14sts as a loop.
