❦ 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟑 '𝟐𝟑

it's so crazily beautiful how God can take something, someone and make them completely new. how He sent His son Jesus to be an example to us.. show us so much grace, love, and forgiveness. but He's just getting started. when we're at what it seems to be our darkest moments, He does not leave nor forsake us but instead reassures us to not be afraid, to not worry but be strong and courageous, trusting in Him.

right after my water baptism, i asked in prayer, "what now". truthfully so many things, emotions, and secret-hard battles started to occur; leading up to and right after this day. as this month was very different from where i thought i would be/be doing. this year has been completely different from the last.
BUT GOD..🌻

jeremiah 29:11

i was truly lost but i have been truly found.
i want to share with you that there is so muchhh more to this life, there is a God that loves you and Jesus at the right to Him, who has a beautiful plan over your life even when you can't yet see it, trust. with Christ all things are possible. through Him you are made new, forgiven, and loved. by @savmarievalr

🤍 WHAT A Mighty God we serve who continues to show up & show out for His children..

i remember year after year, the Lord would provide a way for me to attend youth camp. every year i'd experience breakthrough & healing in many areas of my life.. my faith being encouraged to keep growing and seeking God in every step i take, EVEN when i didn't yet understand why or what He was really doing within me.

this year showed me just a glimpse of how His hand was always at work. what an honor it was to come back to @rlnxtgen , serving as a leader. to think that God had THIS in mind ever since the very beginning, fills my heart with much gratitude.

what an honor it is to see from a different perspective of what the Lord is doing! i thank God for this week and even the challenges that came which pushed me to press in even more & sit at His feet.

🥹 & to the youth ( especially my girls ) reading this:
your hungry for Jesus and eager heart to press in & learn more about the mighty God we serve, was deeply encouraging to all of us. keep allowing Him to continue the good work He is doing within you. keep seeking Him when it feels hard, when it may feel easier to go back to the things of this world, or even when you can't see or understand it all.. know that God is right there with you & at work. by @savmarievalr

i remember asking God what the reason was for having the opportunity to be apart of this mission's trip once again. "why am i coming?" "why are we able to go especially with everything going on?"
it's so easy to cling onto fear, doubt, and uncertainty but through this week He revealed to me how it is all so much bigger than me, than building a house, and than anything we could ever do. there are people who are in desperate need of knowing the love of God and being encouraged in their faith.

& it is His plans that still prevail, despite what's happening around us.

on this trip, our mission was to build a home for a single mom with three young daughters. all they had was a roof, walls, and a blanket as their door. no running water, no security.. but just their faith and trust in God. He brought hope to and encouraged the faith of those who felt forgotten and yet still trusting in the Lord. AND TO THINK that He used us to be His hands and share with not just the family though everyone we encountered on this trip AND each other, the love & goodness of Jesus.. reaching people who speak in a different language, come from different backgrounds.. is such a beautiful, humbling honor.

all glory goes to Him, Thank you Jesus.
