16 days, 5 countries, 10 cities + 5 in transit
🛳️✈️🚆🚌

A physical challenge, a culture shock, and complete visual overload 😅

And just like every rose has thorns,
every place has its pros and cons.

🇪🇸 Barcelona has the most unexpected architecture but also the highest prices for what you get.

🇵🇹 Lisbon feels cheaper, with better quality, but your hotel might get canceled exactly when you arrive at night 😅

🇫🇷 Nice is so stylish and sweet. But someone offering help might steal your cash and card (Yeah, it happened)

🇮🇹 Positano is probably the most authentic Italian coastal town. Also, a place to take photos and leave (too much hype ruined it)

🇮🇹 Pisa has its unbelievable tower. And a usual 40-minute wait for a taxi, because the drivers simply don’t care. You’ll wait.

🇮🇹 Taormina has Sicilian winding roads with views over azure beaches. And the volcano that never sleeps (we saw it erupt) 🌋

🇻🇦 Vatican has creations you absolutely must see. But the endless lines under the sun can make you lose your mind.

🇮🇹 Venice gives you golden evenings over the canals. No cars, no bikes. And also no public bathrooms and benches. But millions of restaurants for that 😅

🇮🇹 Rome gets your heart with ancient views, food and coffee (just the best!) and then completely exhausts you in the heat and crowds.

🇫🇷 Marseille can bring you straight into The Count of Monte Cristo. But the city is so steep and slippery that strollers, wheelchairs and even your regular shoes are in trouble.

I guess you just need to accept them both.

The roses and the thorns.

And somehow learn to hold them together.

Because there is no rose without thorns. by @savytskaaa
