Expectation management… what is @sorinex #summerstrong
@bertsorin asked me two simple questions:
“Is this what you expected?” “Are you having a good time?”
My answer?
“Not even close. This blew every expectation out of the water.”
This isn’t just another fitness event. This should be a destination for every coach, tactical athlete, competitor, or human performance savage who wants to be around people obsessed with getting better.
We brought the @thesawmilltc team and this was definitely where we belong with our tactical athletes, law enforcement & First Responder, military and athlete customer base.
Proud to say Sawmill Training Center will be back next year as a sponsor. ⚔️
The entire crew at Sorinex made this event absolutely first class. Incredible speakers. Incredible people. But what truly separates this event is the camaraderie.
No egos. No bullshit. Just a crew of all-in savages sharing knowledge, experience, and lessons learned to make everyone around them better. Like @brandonlilly3 said “just do the damn thing”!

What an honor to be in the house “pops” built!

You leave this place fired up, humbled, motivated… and after watching the squat and deadlift competitions — realizing it’s time to get your ass back in the gym. 💪

Huge shoutout to @rhett.bingham for capturing all these moments during the event for us, and the other competitors 🙌

This was @johndjohnson314 and I’s first team event, and I’d say probably just the beginning of many. These stages really challenged us both and having a teammate to pick up where you need help, was a live saver!

Looking forward to more events throughout the year, and getting better with each one 💪

What a weekend!

@sawmillshowdown team edition for 2026 is in the books! @johndjohnson314 and I, left it all out there this weekend and learned a ton along the way. These stages really challenged us in areas and taught us new skills to work on for our next event.

Huge thank you to @tacticalsnacksx for supplying us with the new Protein Cookies! These babies kept us going throughout the day 💪 Along with the helping hand of @allprimept with physical therapy work to keep our team going.

Shoutout to @instructor_kelly, brother was cleaning up the stages and was blast to spend the day with. Looking forward to the next one man! by @sawmillshowdown

Stage 5: Baba Yaga

On 3, 2, 1, Go…TM1 will perform 8 Hand Release Burpee Throw Step Overs (HRBTSO), while TM2 performs their designated hold.

HRBTSO Procedure:
1. Perform a burpee with chest and thighs touching ground, then lifting hands off ground.
2. Stand up from the burpee, throw ball over 1st obstacle.
3. Step over first obstacle, retrieve ball and throw over 2nd obstacle.

If at any point in time TM2 drops their hold during the work OR shooting component, TM1 must also stop work/shooting. Work may only begin once the hold is commenced again.

Rifle Firing Sequence: Engage 8 round magazine from within the center of the Stren-Flex chain barricade. The rifle or shooter’s hands may not be propped against the green t-post.

Stage 2: Ballerina 🩰

On a 90 Second Clock, TM1 will begin performing AMRAP of Axle Bar Ground to Overhead. TM2 on the same 90 Second Clock will perform AMRAP of 1 Pistol Shot + 1 Rifle Shot on steel. TM2 will begin with hands on table where pistol is staged and on buzzer, lift pistol and take 1 shot at pistol target, place on safe and back on table, then sprint to the rifle table to take 1 shot at rifle target, place on safe.

This cycle will repeat until 90 seconds have been exhausted. taken in The Sawmill Training Complex by @sawmillshowdown

Stage 1: John Wick and Caine

On 3, 2, 1, Go…
TM1 will charge rifle and perform rifle firing sequence from any TOP position of Tank Trap. Once complete, clear rifle, and place on tray, engage the pistol target. Once TM1 finishes firing and has a clear pistol, retrieve sandbag and carry it through the designated course. Once TM1 returns the sandbag back to designated drop zone, TM1 must tag TM2 where they begin the firing sequence.

This wasn’t a match. This was a stress test.

Heart rate maxed. Legs smoked.
Still had to perform.

Sawmill Showdown demanded everything…
strength, endurance, and precision under pressure.

7ft of problems and still moving with purpose.
