With one of the biggest winters on record, we started to see the snow really pile up in the Sierra. I did not ride this line like I hoped but it was educational to scope for a couple weeks and figure out timing and snow safety. So glad everything went smoothly and we got down one of the seldom but epic shots on big ol’ Mama T. ALL 15 - 14,000 foot peaks Accomplished in the SierraMt. Russel - 14,094’ ✅ — 9/27/2023The final summit of the 14,000 ft peaks in California. I started climbing the 15 - 14,000’ peaks starting with Mt Shasta on May 23. The summer was busy but it was really awesome to make plans and find weather windows and opportunities to make these climbs happen. It was hard work just to get these to line up but how excited I am to have completed the goal of summiting them all. We ticked off a few other 14k peaks as well during the Palisade Traverse and got a high alpine ski and winter camp in on Shepards Pass when we boarded Mt. Tyndall. Johno met me at Iceberg Lake around 8am. I slept on there after summiting Mt. Whitney and Mt. Muir solo the day before. We packed our light bag and made way to Russel. Our objective was to climb the Mithral Dihedral to the summit. An amazing high alpine rock climb that was truly an amazing experience. So lucky to have good inspiring friends. Starting rock climbing in October of 2022 I never thought I’d be climbing a high alpine rock wall to the peak of my last official mountain summit for my goal. What a day and adventure. It’s humbling and inspiring to have friends with so much grit, strength, mental fortitude, and positive attitudes. Some of these were done solo, but the best ones were done with good people.
