✨BEFORE / AFTER : Where does retouching become enhancement, and when does it start to alter reality?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In today’s world, I often find myself questioning where the line truly is. Should we reshape a face? Change the weather? Remove elements or even people from a moment that actually happened? And if we do, what does that do to your memories in the long term?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I decided to become a wedding photographer, my intention was simple: to preserve memories, not to transform them. Over time, this has become a core value in the way I approach my work. I believe there is a delicate balance between enhancing an image and respecting the reality of what was lived.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My personal approach to retouching is intentional and restrained. I only adjust what does not belong to the story itself, things like emergency signs, distracting background elements, wrinkled tablecloths, stains on a dress, or temporary imperfections caused by stress.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But even those “imperfections” are part of your story. The spilled glass of wine from an uncle laughing too hard, or the small stress-induced details from the day before the wedding, these are real moments that belong to your memory, aren’t they?

Beyond the ceremony and key moments, one of the most valuable parts of a wedding day is capturing the presence of your loved ones. These are the faces, emotions, and connections that give depth to your memories over time.

Depending on the size of the wedding, having a second or even a third photographer can make a significant difference. It allows the coverage to be more fluid and complete, ensuring that while my focus remains fully on the couple and their most important moments, your guests are also naturally and authentically documented throughout the day.

This approach creates a more layered story: one that reflects not only how your wedding looked, but how it felt. through every interaction, every emotion, and every shared moment.

For destination weddings, luxury weddings, and large celebrations, this structure ensures nothing meaningful is missed, while maintaining an unobtrusive and documentary approach to photography.

In Thai culture, the wedding procession is one of the most meaningful and symbolic rituals of the entire wedding day. Deeply rooted in tradition, it represents family unity, respect, love, and the formal joining of two families.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The ceremony begins with the groom’s family arriving at the bride’s home or wedding venue. They do not come empty-handed. They bring carefully prepared offerings for the bride’s family, symbolising gratitude, respect, and the intention to unite both families through marriage.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As the procession unfolds, the groom and his family are guided through a series of “gates” held by the bridesmaids and friends of the bride. Each gate represents a playful yet symbolic barrier. To pass through, the groom must complete light-hearted challenges, often accompanied by laughter, music, and joy.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At each step, envelopes are offered as traditional symbolic gestures. A representation of goodwill, respect, and the cultural practice of honoring the bride’s family. These moments bring energy and emotion into the procession, turning it into a shared celebration rather than a formal passage.

Once all the gates are passed, the groom is finally welcomed to meet his bride. This moment is often deeply emotional. He presents her with a bouquet, marking not only the end of the procession but the beginning of their marriage journey together.
