An exciting week ahead for Miss Nadine and Grace. This week, our Principal,Nadine Sayers has the pleasure of supporting Sayers alumni student Grace Cruwys at the prestigious Fonteyn Awards (formerly known as the Genée Awards) in London. Grace is one of just 71 students from around the world selected to participate this year. We have just attended the Welcome Reception, where we had the honour of meeting Artistic Director Alexander Campbell, Chief Executive Elizabeth Honer , and Maria O’Connor Training officer. We also met other candidates from Spain, Mexico, London and China. Grace has an incredible week ahead, participating in classes and performing her solos. We couldn’t be prouder. Grace was part of the Sayers family for 14 years, and this year has commenced her journey with Newcastle Ballet Theatre under the guidance of Rider and Kristy We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the team at Newcastle Ballet Theatre for their preparation and dedication in preparing Grace’s solos for this week. Grace, we are so proud of you and wish you every success. Enjoy every moment of this extraordinary experience. Once a Sayers dancer, always part of the Sayers family. @royalacademyofdance @royalacademyofdanceaustralia @newcastleballettheatre @gracecruwys by @sayersdancecentre

Miss Nadine is currently enjoying time in Italy, having celebrated her son Sam’s wedding last Saturday. Last night, Miss Nadine had the pleasure of watching Sayers Alumni Ted Cooper perform at the world-renowned Teatro alla Scala in Milan in Giselle, where he performed a principal role in the Peasant Pas de Deux. To say I was proud is an understatement! ❤️ Watching one of our own Sayers Alumni perform on such an iconic stage was an incredibly special and emotional experience. The Director Frédéric Olivieri also came to greet us. To make the evening even more extraordinary, Ted kindly arranged for us to enjoy seats in the main box and gave us the wonderful opportunity to go backstage. An experience we will treasure forever! Sharing the evening, Miss Nadine’s husband and friend Miss Tania, Principal of Premier Dance. We then enjoyed a beautiful dinner with another Sayers Alumni, Deanna, creating memories From the 1970s to the 2000s, our love of dance continues to connect us across generations and around the world. Tania – 1980s Ted – 2000s Nadine – 1970s Deanna – 1970s Ted, thank you for such an unforgettable evening. We are so incredibly proud of you! ❤️ by @sayersdancecentre

Term 3 ends today ,Term 4 starts Monday 5th October ( yes on a public holiday) It has been a term full of hard work and wonderful achievements. We have celebrated exceptional results in our Grade and Vocational exams, and we couldn’t be prouder of every student who worked so hard in preparation. Congratulations to you all! And incredibly grateful to our teaching team for their amazing dedication Some of our team attended child safety seminars, we are proud to say we are already following most protocols that were discussed We proudly presented the Queensland brain Institute the donation of $27,575 from money raised at our Day of Dance charity. Premier dance also donated their matching amount to Mater little miracles. Miss Nadine accompanied a wonderful group of students to Sydney on a Dance education tour. She also had the pleasure of catching up with alumni students which is always a highlight, and we are proud that these wonderful adults stay in our lives. On a personal note Miss Nadine, became a first-time grandma to her beautiful grandson, Sandro! Many classes have seen pictures (LOTS!!😉) Our end-of-year concert preparations are well underway, with most costumes tried on, and choreography is coming together beautifully, there is certainly a buzz in the air! ✨ Even the children who will not be participating in the concert have had lots of fun trying on costumes and being part of the excitement. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next term for our concert photos and, of course, our end-of-year concert. It’s going to be a wonderful way to finish the year. Please note that the office will be operating on limited hours during the holidays. The best way to communicate with us is via email, and we will respond as soon as we can. Enjoy the break, everyone! by @sayersdancecentre

🚨 BREAKING NEWS! 🚨 We are so excited to announce that our beautiful Advanced 2 student, Mackenzie, has been accepted into Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year! Mackenzie has been a student at Sayers Dance Centre since the age of 4. Throughout her years at Sayers, Mackenzie has studied classical ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and hip-hop, developing into the wonderful, versatile dancer she is today. Having studied so many genres this has also made her eligible to also be one of our wonderful Student teachers. She is one of the most diligent students we know, applying herself wholeheartedly to both her dance and academic studies, excelling in both. . Her dedication, discipline and passion are truly inspiring. Mackenzie, we are so incredibly proud of you. Congratulations on this amazing opportunity! We know the world is your oyster, and we are so excited to see what your future holds. by @sayersdancecentre
✨ A wonderful achievement for our beautiful dancers! ✨ Earlier this month, we acknowledged these dedicated dancers for completing their RAD Advanced 2 examination, and we are so proud to now share their wonderful results. We are thrilled to say that every dancer achieved High Merit or Distinctions! 🩰👏 They are now eligible to use the letters ARAD after their names, a wonderful recognition of the years of dedication, discipline and hard work it has taken to reach this standard. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. Your commitment to your training is truly inspiring, and we hope you take a moment to celebrate this very special achievement.
