Today, July 17th, should have been my husband Taron Jackson’s — AKA DOG— 47th birthday. Even saying that out loud still feels unreal. I’m living in a world where my best friend, the man I spoke to every single day, the man I visited and laughed with in person, is suddenly gone.The shock hasn’t faded. The grief hasn’t softened. People keep telling me it gets easier, but all I feel is the weight of this pain.
