Made a little extra magic for Mabon this year 🔮✨

We welcomed the start of the fall season with gratitude and appreciation for all of the beauty the last year has brought—in our work lives, our home lives, and our hearts. There were tarot readings and spiced cider cocktails. We made spell jars for prosperity, abundance, creativity, and healing, and crafted crystal suncatchers with acorn tops. 🍁🍂🐿️🍯

And any tears which were shed, were shed only out of joy and laughter. 🫶🏻

What a beautiful thing, to be able to welcome a new season with those who have seen me through so many others—and to be able to witness all this next season will bring those I love.

🌸The Queen must ride alone. 🌸

Midsommar came out on my birthday, making it one of the best (and most messed up) birthday gifts I’ve ever received. 🩷🩵💚

I’d wanted to bring the Queen to life for a few years, and here she is in all her glory! This piece was specially made as a raffle prize for a fundraiser that @angusbeefdragking organized on behalf of @negativespacecinema. Their Kickstarter is still up (on their page & in my bio) if you want to grab some fun as hell perks while supporting one of the coolest projects ever, full stop. 🖤🖤

Celebrating the third birthday of @brooklynhorrorsociety is especially exciting this year—this fall will see the opening of @negativespacecinema, a theater dedicated to the weird and spooky; just like this group has always been. It also features a bittersweet goodbye to the first home of BHS, @lucky13saloon, whose stage I have sat, stood, or lain on far too many times at this point.

I tried to gather some of my favorite photos and memories within the last year to once again highlight the importance of BHS not just to me, but the horror community as a whole. And I realized something incredible—this community has woven its tentacles (it’s def tentacles 🦑) into nearly every aspect of my life.

My creative endeavors have blossomed and thrived because of the support and opportunities I’ve been given at various markets. My new friends have befriended my old friends and my work friends and vice versa. I’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, new jobs, and fond farewells with the friends (and founders) from (and of) this group.

Each time I set out to elucidate the importance of @brooklynhorrorsociety, I flounder with my words (even with this many). Nothing seems quite large enough to encapsulate what has been built here, and is continuing to grow. How wonderful, to be a part of something so ineffable. 🖤🖤

STAYCATION MODE: ACTIVATED 🤖

Celebrated a decade (!!!) with @allenghoffman this past weekend with a li’l Williamsburg staycation, feat. a @nightowlvid shopping spree, tasty treats, comfy cuties 💝 & the vintage @bvlgari scarf Allen gifted me after I fell in love with it in Rome ❤️💋

I’m so grateful to have a partner (HUSSSSBAND) who can make a weekend within our own borough feel like an extravagant adventure. For ten years, you have nudged me to try new things; you’ve been my lighthouse in rough seas, guiding me to stability. You have encouraged me to grow in ways I did not know I was capable of, celebrating the strength you have helped me cultivate.
