We’re so often taught that fulfillment follows a certain path. But purpose, connection, love, and joy don’t belong to any one version of a life. Sometimes it’s about letting go of what we thought our stories would look like and recognizing the beauty in what it has become. There isn’t just one way to live a full life. And there never was. A beautiful reminder from @mandyingber #TheOtherhoodCollective #RedefiningFulfillment #LifeBeyondMotherhood #YourPathYourStory by @sbclifford
Different paths. Shared experiences. Sometimes all it takes is one conversation to realize we’re not so different after all. We may not share the same journeys, but we all have stories worth telling. And when we open ourselves up to hearing someone else’s experience, we create space for connection, understanding, and a little less loneliness. As @mandyingber reminds us, sharing our stories can help us feel less alone. ✨ 🎥 Watch our full conversation with Mandy on The Otherhood Collective’s YouTube channel. No kids? Must be a witch. For centuries, women who didn’t fit society’s expectations have been labeled, questioned, and misunderstood. And apparently, we’re still figuring out what to do with women who don’t follow the traditional path. This Halloween week, we’re embracing our inner witches with the wonderful @mandyingber , who reminds us that maybe being a little different isn’t such a bad thing. ✨ Because who decided there was only one way to be a woman anyway? 🎥 Watch our full conversation with Mandy Ingber, “The Witches of Society,” on The Otherhood Collective’s YouTube channel. Sometimes keeping something to yourself isn’t about hiding. It’s about protecting what little emotional energy you have left. For @lana.manikowski , navigating infertility meant carrying not only her own emotions, but also the fear of how the people she loved would react. Even her own mother didn’t know the full extent of what she was going through. Because sometimes sharing your pain means having to manage someone else’s, too. 💜 🎥 Watch Lana’s full story on our YouTube channel. Link in bio. Sometimes looking like you have it all together is the greatest performance of all. Behind the confidence, the career, and the perfectly put-together appearance, there can be a story no one sees. For @lana.manikowski , that story was years of infertility treatments, quietly navigating the emotional toll while making sure the outside world saw something entirely different. Because sometimes it’s easier to pretend everything is okay than to explain why it isn’t. Thank you, Lana, for reminding us that we never really know what someone else is carrying. 🎥 Watch Lana’s full story on our YouTube channel. Link in bio. “I did everything right, and I still ended up on my own with no kids at 40.” What happens when you have to let go of the life you always imagined? Gemma Jackson (@whatsnextforme111 ) shares how she turned shame and self-doubt into a new sense of purpose, helping other women realize they’re not alone. 🤍 Full story on our YouTube channel. #ChildlessByCircumstance #LifeBeyondTheTimeline #TheOtherhoodCollective by @sbclifford
Sometimes, there was no decision. You didn’t decide not to have children. You weren’t necessarily unable to have them. Life simply unfolded, time passed, and…it just didn’t happen. Gemma Jackson shares an experience that doesn’t always fit neatly into the conversation around having children: being childless by circumstance. We’re so grateful to Gemma for sharing her story with us. Follow @whatsnextforme111 for more of her perspective on being single, childless by circumstance, and figuring out what comes next beyond the timeline you thought you’d follow. “I could be a good mom. I don’t think I’d be a happy mom.” What if we stopped assuming that being capable of motherhood means a woman should want it? For Brittanie, recognizing that difference was part of choosing the life that actually felt right for her. Watch her full story on our YouTube, and follow @britt.donals for more of her perspective on living childfree. What would change if we treated motherhood as a choice instead of an expectation? #Childfree #ChildfreeByChoice #OtherhoodCollective #WomenWithoutChildren #Motherhood by @sbclifford
“I can’t believe I almost let society kind of push me into that, because that’s what everyone does.” Having everything you need to raise a child doesn’t mean you have to want one. Brittaniee’s full story is now on our YouTube. 🤍 Follow @britt.donals for more of her childfree perspective. #Childfree #ChildfreeByChoice #OtherhoodCollective #WomenWithoutChildren #ChoosingChildfree by @sbclifford
“You need to get a move on if you want to have a baby.” She was around 40 when her doctor said it. And even though she knew the doctor was just doing her job, the pressure behind those words landed differently. What if you don’t feel that deep pull toward motherhood, but you’ve spent your whole life being told it’s what comes next? Sometimes the pressure isn’t one big moment. It’s a slow boil. Full story on YouTube featuring @theselflovemaven Nisha Goyal, a Self-Love Expert and Mindset Coach helping women move beyond hyper-independence and build deeper, lasting love. #Childfree #WomenWithoutChildren #Motherhood #ChildfreeByChoice #TheOtherhoodCollective by @sbclifford
Most benefits plans are built for one kind of path to parenthood. Most people aren’t on it. 💛 At The Otherhood of Work, we sat down with HR leaders, employers, and our community to talk about what happens when life doesn’t follow your benefits plan: infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, surrogacy, NICU journeys, caregiving, grief, and childless paths. One line from the room stuck with us: “You tell me what you need me to see.” Because “we’re all going through stuff that people can’t see.” The more we talk about it, the better we can show up for each other at work and beyond. Huge thanks to @alliantinsurance @carrotfertility @gonzagau and everyone who joined us in Spokane. 🙏 👉 What do you wish your workplace understood? Tell us below. #TheOtherhoodCollective #WorkplaceWellbeing #EmployeeBenefits by @sbclifford
“Probably not, but maybe.” Sometimes it’s the not knowing that stays with you. When infertility doesn’t come with a clear answer, it can leave room for hope, but also for all the questions that follow. What if we had started earlier? What if we had done something differently? Would it have changed anything? That space between “probably not” and “maybe” can be incredibly complicated.
