We stole Scott Robertson from Sketch Club (sorry, not sorry)…

We’re honored to have Scott Robertson lead our Vizcom Workshop this Friday at 2:30 PM! This workshop is hybrid and will be held in person in Montgomery Hall, Room 114, as well as virtually. Autodesk @scadautodesk will be tabling in person, so make sure to come grab some free merch and pizza!!!

The highlight reel continues... Happy National Intern Day (week... month😉??)!

Meet Emmett Culp, an industrial design student spending his summer as a Footwear Color & Material Design Intern at Nike👟

This summer, Emmett is developing a project he’ll present to the Nike team while collaborating with designers and stakeholders across the organization. His days are filled with creating, receiving feedback, and learning from some of the industry’s top footwear designers—all while embracing Nike’s culture through sport 🏟️

His biggest takeaway? Build your portfolio with intention, tell a cohesive story, and know your “why.”

His advice for future interns? Start early, do your research, understand what you want to do, and go after it!👏👏👏

A wild Bee has been spotted… meet Professor CoCo Ree Lemery! 🌿

After earning her master’s degree in Furniture Design from SCAD in 2019, she has built an impressive career spanning industry, entrepreneurship, and education. Professor Ree Lemery has designed for major retailers, earned numerous awards, and even founded her own design studio @studiokloak . Today, she’s a Professor of Industrial Design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
