A little less digital, a little more hands-on.

This week, we’re loving all things analog. From imperfect textures to experimental techniques, there’s something special about design that embraces the process as much as the outcome.

Digital Lettering Workshop:
The Handmade Voice in a Digital World

In this workshop, we bridge the gap between the human hand and the digital tool. The goal is to teach students how to create handmade compositions using the power of digital software without losing the soul of the letter. We will focus on the fundamental architecture of lettering: Structure, Style, Proportion, and Hierarchy.

We had a great turnout for our first-ever GD Fest event, proudly representing @scadgraphicdesign. Two sessions, close to two full alphabets, ingenious solutions from everyone who joined in. Stay tuned for the full alphabet reveal. Thanks to everyone who braved the finicky weather!

Participants: our zine hits newsstands (okay, at least Adler) at the end of October. Collect yours at our next workshop, Kinetic Typography with @soo.min.lee, on Friday, October 30. Virtual attendees welcome 🎥🤟

Type doesn’t always have to follow the rules.

From distorted letterforms to experimental textures, typography becomes a playground for pushing boundaries, breaking conventions, and exploring new ways to communicate!
