POSTS STORIES REELS

The last several weeks have been magical. Sitting amongst some of the absolute strongest, coolest, funniest, and finest musicians 8 show a week brought me such joy and was truly an honor that I don’t take for granted.

Having the opportunity to watch the @dollymusical evolve through the rehearsals and previews and into the show it became was such a unique experience and one that I won’t soon forget.

The chance to bring my wife and mom to opening night… incredible!

Getting to work with the amazing @dollyparton and be a part of bringing her story to life though..? A humbling and joyful task.

I’m thankful, and I’m joyful. And I’m honored to do my best in the service of music and bringing some joy into the world. Especially amongst such amazing people as this. by @scalfbone

Meeting the amazing, gracious, and wonderful @dollyparton was an absolute joy!!

Attending the listening party with @tinydancer_xo for Dolly’s now released #rockstar album was spectacular!!
But hearing myself on a track with her and the equally inimitable @eltonjohn was beyond surreal…

I’m continuously thankful for the opportunities this town has given me, and grateful for the folks I get to work with.
Thank you, @dollyparton for having me be a small part of what you do.

Just saw that @cmt put up a teaser for the upcoming Crossroads we did with @smokeyrobinson and @camcountry (they both sure can sing!!) so I figured I’d put up this great picture we got with the legend himself!
What a great couple of days of working with some truly stellar people (Mike and Sam are always a joy to work with in the horn section)! Episode airs on CMT on March 28th at 10/9pm central.

Wonder why he mentions being intentional so much? 🤔 Don’t be afraid to make intentional Musical Moments. 😉 #cheapadvice #music #musiceducation #thingsmresays #band #musica #help by @scalfbone

As December 2025 begins to ramp up with all the craziness and travel that it will bring, I’m thankful for a few slower days to reflect on the opportunity I had to work alongside fantastic musicians that also happen to be great humans (as well as supremely fun travel companions over our 16,000 miles traveled).

Along our travels the food was amazing, the architecture was stunning, the level of care we were shown by those we were working with was top notch, and the music was groovy and truly enjoyable to perform.
But the best part may have been the incredibly warm welcome we received from the amazing people of Oman.
Many thanks to @emmalineofficial for having me along for the ride, as well as to @roh_muscat for bringing us to spread some love and happiness through music. It was a joy and an honor 🙏🏼

Yesterday became a spur of the moment adventure out to see some new waterfalls, and it was a brilliantly good time with the one person that makes anything into a wonderful adventure ❤️ by @scalfbone

Thanks for the stories and the great hang today, Eddie!!
I’ll make sure to see you any time I’m in town!! by @scalfbone

Had a great time checking out the new custom @rathtrombones at @bandwagonrepair today!
If you’re looking for a new small, medium, or large tenor, or a bass, they’ve got the customs and 00 series in stock, and they’re all quite spectacular!
Tried out some killer large bore mouthpieces from @gregblackmpcs too.
We’re finally getting some really cool brass gear around #nashville ! by @scalfbone

Thanks to @annakaelinmusic and @gregghammer for hosting @tinydancer_xo and I for a stupendous week here in #slc
Great times hanging with great people and having truly great fun!
