Here are all twenty pieces in ‘Party Animals’, my senior thesis show. As 2025 is wrapping up, I’m looking back at all the craziness of this past year. Part of that, of course, is looking back at the people and places who inspire me. This project has meant the world to me and I appreciate everyone who took part, from being subjects in the paintings and finding objects in the woods to helping to hang the show, thank you so much <3

Update on my body of work naturally titled “Party Animals”. I started photographing people at parties in 2024, right after I started painting portraits of real individuals, and I’m happy to say that this project has about doubled in size since I started. These are the finished pieces so far. This has been so, so fun and I’m so thankful for not only the opportunity to paint the most fabulous people in the world, but also for the party hosts who work to keep people safe, for the people I have met through this project, and for the excuse to go to every party I can. In a time of fascism, it’s been a pleasure to see joy on people’s faces and to paint them as they are. Thank you to everyone I have photographed - thank you for your silly poses and for serving face. I promise these look better in person 🫶

It’s been a while! Here are some updated pieces for my thesis/Div III project. This body of work has consumed me for months, but it’s been fabulous to meet so many wonderful people at parties. I’ve taken so many portraits of lovely people, I just wish I time to paint them all. Thank you to everyone who has let me create images with their likeness, it’s an honor. Let fascism die and let the party keep going :)

Life is hectic, so here are a few of the messy mid-process paintings I’ve been working on. This project is big, bigger than any visual work I’ve done in the past, in a painting style that is relatively new for me. It’s ridiculous and I love it. When I get frustrated abt screwing up paint or whatever, I just remember I get to paint a lot of the coolest, kindest and most vibrant people I’ve met in the woods during parties.

in the woods, hard and fast, trying to catch up on my reading and my process. I’ve been here a month and a half and I could write a book on it.
