The moment she stepped toward the open parking space expecting a confrontation, the car quietly activated its autonomous parking system and slipped into the spot with a smoothness that left everyone watching in calm surprise. Its cameras and sensors mapped the tight surroundings with precise movements while the system guided the car around the scooter that was blocking the space and completed the maneuver without any human effort. The video has reached more than a million viewers who were drawn to the way technology resolved a tense situation with simple motion instead of argument. Love tech? Watching porous asphalt in action feels surreal because the moment water hits the surface it slips straight through, leaving the road almost instantly clear like the storm never touched it. Its design relies on open pathways within the pavement and a thick stone layer below that catches the water and slowly releases it into the ground. Communities using it often notice safer driving during storms because the surface stays dry and steady even in fast-moving rain. Love technology? Seabin is designed to help clean the ocean by collecting floating waste from the water, especially in places like marinas, harbors, and calm coastal areas where debris naturally gathers. These locations often act as collection points for plastic and other pollutants, making them ideal for this type of solution. The device floats at the surface and uses a small electric pump to create gentle suction. Water is pulled into the bin along with floating trash, while a special catch bag traps the waste inside. Clean water is then filtered and released back into the ocean, allowing the system to operate continuously without disrupting marine conditions. This simple but effective design allows Seabin to capture everything from plastic bags and bottles to microplastics and even traces of oil. It plays a meaningful role in reducing waste locally and protecting marine life where it is deployed. Love technology? In the film, Commander Alastair Denniston, the man interviewing Alan Turing here, is written as a villain. Fact-checkers have called that version of him mostly fictional, and his family has objected to it. What the scene gets right is Turing’s confidence. He was elected a fellow at Cambridge at 22 and published “On Computable Numbers” at 24, the paper that laid the groundwork for modern computing. The impossible job he talks his way into was real too. Breaking Enigma grew into one of the biggest secret efforts of the war: by January 1945, 8,995 people were working at Bletchley Park and its outstations. Developer Emir Karşıyakalı has made a 2007 Nokia phone communicate with Claude using a custom Java ME client and a server connected to Anthropic’s API. The Nokia does not run Claude locally on its 8 MB of memory. Instead, its Java app sends messages to a small intermediary server, which handles the phone’s outdated TLS 1.0 connection, communicates with Anthropic’s cloud service, and returns the generated response to the handset. Karşıyakalı says he is also reverse-engineering the phone’s firmware to access the system beneath its Java layer. It is a smart demonstration of how old hardware can still act as an interface when modern computing is handled remotely. Love technology? Mercedes-AMG’s CLE 646 Spezialanfertigung is a hand-built, rear-wheel-drive V8 coupe with 646 PS, 193-mph performance and a production run of just 30 cars worldwide. The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 develops 850 Nm, uses a flat-plane crankshaft and sends power through AMG’s nine-speed transmission to an electronic limited-slip differential. AMG claims 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 11.4 seconds and a 310 km/h top speed. AMG removed around 170kg, fitted carbon-ceramic brakes, adjustable coilovers and aerodynamic bodywork capable of over 250kg of downforce. Every example was already sold before its public unveiling, making it a Mythos collector special. Love technology? Follow @Technology Credits: Mercedes by @scarletttechx

That convenient hands-free tailgate can become a very expensive problem if it opens at the wrong time. In an automated car wash, rotating brushes and water can potentially interact with the sensors beneath the rear bumper, causing a powered tailgate to activate while the vehicle is still inside the machine. Once the hatch begins opening, the moving equipment can catch the door and force it backward with far more resistance than the hinges and struts were designed to handle. The result can be broken hinges, a damaged tailgate, and water and soap pouring directly into the cabin through the opening. That’s why many modern vehicles include a dedicated Car Wash Mode or instructions to disable powered-opening features before entering certain automated washes. It’s a small reminder that as cars become more software-driven, even everyday situations like washing your car can require a little extra preparation. Love cars? Two performance cars. Two completely different philosophies. And somehow, both have a 5.2-liter engine under the hood. The Audi R8 brings a naturally aspirated V10 producing around 562 horsepower, while the Ford Mustang Mach 1 uses a 5.2-liter V8 delivering 480 horsepower. The biggest difference isn’t just what’s happening under the hood. The R8 Performance gets serious braking hardware, including 380mm carbon-ceramic discs and six-piston front calipers, while the Mach 1 uses steel brakes with a more conventional setup. Yet the Mustang delivers an enormous amount of performance for a fraction of the R8’s price, making it a compelling performance-per-dollar machine. The Mach 1 was also positioned between the Mustang GT and Shelby GT500, bringing track-focused upgrades such as improved cooling, aerodynamic changes, and a more aggressive setup straight from the factory. The R8 may deliver the exotic experience, but the Mach 1 proves you don’t always need an exotic price tag to get serious performance. Love cars? What most people call “fast” changes completely when a hypercar enters the picture. A BMW M4 launches hard enough to look seriously quick, but the moment the Bugatti Chiron unleashes its power, the gap opens so violently that the comparison almost stops feeling fair. The Chiron’s performance comes from a combination of a quad-turbocharged W16, sophisticated all-wheel drive, immense traction, and aerodynamic engineering designed to remain stable at extreme speeds. The M4 is already a serious performance machine, but the Chiron operates in an entirely different category where acceleration is measured in another dimension. That’s what makes hypercars so difficult to comprehend. At extreme levels of acceleration, your eyes almost struggle to process how quickly the scenery disappears behind you. Eventually, “fast” stops feeling like a number and starts feeling completely unreal. Love cars? Some people see it as just a racing game. For an entire generation of enthusiasts, Need for Speed: Most Wanted became a lesson in persistence. Every police chase, roadblock, and last-second escape taught you one thing—you don’t quit when the pressure builds. The game never handed out easy victories. You got caught, restarted, learned from your mistakes, and tried again until you finally escaped. That constant cycle of failure, adaptation, and success made every victory feel earned, turning a simple arcade racer into an unforgettable experience for millions of players. Maybe that’s why it still holds such a special place in car culture. Beyond the iconic cars and legendary soundtrack, Most Wanted inspired a mindset that challenges are meant to be overcome-not avoided. Sometimes, the greatest lessons come from pressing “Restart” one more time. Love cars? The fastest car isn’t always the one that wins. Sometimes, the smartest route beats the quickest machine. That’s exactly what makes old Volvos so special-they were built to stay composed when the road doesn’t go according to plan. While the BMW sticks to the tarmac, the old Volvo XC90 confidently dives off-road, using its capable all-wheel-drive system, generous ground clearance, and rugged suspension to glide past without drama. It’s a reminder that true performance isn’t measured only by acceleration or top speed, but by how effortlessly a vehicle adapts to the unexpected. Older Volvos earned their reputation through durability, safety, and all-weather confidence rather than flashy numbers. Years later, they continue to prove that practical engineering and real-world capability can be just as satisfying as outright speed. Love cars? Right outside a Tesla showroom, two German performance icons decide to put on a completely different kind of demonstration. As the Mercedes and BMW slide sideways in perfect sync, tire smoke fills the air and turns an ordinary street into an unforgettable moment for everyone watching. It’s a playful contrast between two different automotive philosophies. One celebrates precision drifting, roaring combustion engines, and rear-wheel-drive excitement, while the other represents the quiet, technology-driven future of mobility. Neither is right or wrong-they simply deliver performance in completely different ways. Moments like this are why car culture is so diverse. Whether it’s the smell of burning tires or the silence of instant electric torque, every generation creates its own definition of what makes driving exciting. Love cars?
