If they're already calling you the problem, then be the problem.

They're calling you the problem because when disrespect became consistent, so did your absence. Because you no longer feel guilty for being in your season. Because you were tired of your kindness being mistaken for weakness. Because you no longer sacrifice yourself in order for other people to feel comfortable. Because being loyal to them was being disloyal to you.

When you decide to choose you, there will be a problem — but that problem won't be yours. It will be theirs.

Somebody did you wrong. Now you're up at night, planning what you'd say back.

But getting even keeps them in your life. You're still carrying them. They're still running your day.

The day they can't get a reaction out of you — that's the day you're free. Not because you forgot. Because you've got better things to do than keep score.

Keep your peace. Keep moving. Let them keep the mess.
