@organizednoize @sosodef and LaFace records were a huge reason I moved to Atlanta, besides my parents encouraging/demanding me that I should apply to college! My 1st job was at Peppermint Music in the West @brooksrico @desisgrateful , which I am still grateful for! I had the music bug bad, and was willing(and still am) to learn from the best! Therefore, I applied for an internship with Organized Noize! @omcghee was my boss and I was on the “street team”! I was So excited to staple up flyers, pass out flyers, shirts, promo cd’s… whatever had to be served, I was serving! lol I would drive my Honda Passport to Ralph McGill after class and soak up any game I could acquire and then hit the streets! Goodie Mob “Still Standing” was the project at the moment and the climate couldn’t have been more magical! ONP is the epitome of our sound! The gritty, soulful, prideful, and resounding eargasm was the template to what I still create today! I literally would get into clubs like (the old) 112, Kaya, 559, Warehouse, Shark Bar, Gentlemen Club, Nikki… on the strength that was was Rico “lil brother” 😂 I said that shit at mostly ever front door to get in!! I will truly miss you!! Love you, Reek!! @dungeoneze @sleepybrown y’all already know… fa LIFE!! My sincerest condolences to the Wade family, and to my DF comrades!! @phontigallo thank you, for this moment @questlove by @scarsmithsonian
