When the heat hit… hit it with Heat!The new summer scent by @akrofragrances is hot but also fresh.As the name suggests, it’s hot but more as in spicy than as warm.And maybe the name means that it’s meant to be used during a heat wave, as it’s very refreshing.Hot and cool, and can it be? The trick is done by ginger, a spicy that has a pungent spiciness that can warm up, but it’s also green and fresh and so uplifting and energetic that helps the body and mind.But ginger is not the dominant note, rather a perfect enhancer of the other notes: lemon (citrus for the juicy, zest and fresh heart), coriander and pepper (hot spices for the hot side), cardamom (nutty resinous spice for a touch of warm sweetness), juniper berry (for a very green and fresh aromatic side).I find the juniper berry and cardamom very well defined and perfectly matching with the spicy ginger and tart lemon.This is how you create a hot but fresh perfume! Which flowers are blooming in your garden?In @lessoeursdenoe garden there is a very special plant, that blooms macarons between its petals.Though these macarons are not just a basic gourmand dessert, they are more a whispered desire of intimate kindness.Violet and iris, very powdery but with some creamy sweetness and some green freshness, are growing in a field of delicate cotton candy, sugary but in a muted way because surrounded by earthy patchouli and aromatic palo santo.Between the branches, juicy plums are getting ripe, while cassis is fresh and dewy.A not really gourmand perfume that yet leans a little in that direction, but the powdery notes and a touch of fruits makes it more interesting and versatile.The powdery iris and violet can give a tad of soapiness, yet it’s not a laundry nor a clean fragrance thanks to the woods and sticky plum.I find it very interesting and quite different from every gourmand or powdery perfume I own, and sugary iris and violet is all I could ask for, therefore a big yes for me!#gourmandperfume #scentkyphi #floralperfume #perfumelover #nicheperfume Niche perfume | niche fragrance | floral scent | gourmand perfume | scent | perfume | parfum | Profumo | Duft | perfume lover | fragcomm | unisex perfume | powdery perfume | gourmand fragrance | floral perfume | perfume lover | perfume photography by @scent.kyphi

Is orange blossom your note?For a very long time it has been one of the most difficult notes for me, quite a no-go: I would immediately ignore every fragrance that had orange blossom or neroli in the note break down.Then I decided to research this note, testing most perfumes as possible.Still many were a big no, but then I started to find some that really became a love: where the orange blossom has the perfect balance between c*rnal and sensu*l but fresh, sweet and honeyed but green and bitter. Neither of these nuances can be overpowering for me, or it will break the magic spell.One of the best orange blossom perfumes I own is the new release from @placedelareverie : Feve Nectar by the nicest @nathaliefeisthauer The sweet warm side is supported by vanilla and tonka, the fresh side by bergamot, the bittersweet one by dark chocolate. Clean perfumes are boring… WRONG!It just means you have the wrong clean perfumes.I have several in my collection that smell somehow even dirty… A clean scent smelling dirty? Size matters The perfume bottles size, I mean.I usually prefer small/medium bottles because I have a space issues (wonder why…) and as I can easily take them with me in my trips.But some perfumes are so good that I wouldn’t mind a 500ml!And if we have to be honest, travel size flacons are very practical and convenient.Do you think that a mini wallet or no space would stop me? Kilian - day and night I’m talking about the super cool events organized by @kilianparis and @esteelauderitalia last month in Milano.But I’m also talking about Kilian perfumes that can be worn day and night.My first Kilian fragrance has been Angels’ Share, as soon as it was released, followed very quickly by Good girl gone bad and Playing with the Devil - angels, devils, bad girls… I kind of see a pattern in my tastes!The day event has been a classy and interesting full immersion in some of their best sellers paired with perfect drinks.I was gifted the more summery versions of my favorite perfume: Angels’ Share on the rocks, and they engraved it with my initials in gold.
