It all began with an "impromptu" visit to @lelabofragrances boutique in Seoul back in January 2018, cuz a friend wanted to grab a bottle. Not really interested in fragrance products, I waited (albeit rather impatiently). As she was busy customizing her bottle and had it prepared, I "killed time" by exploring and taking a sniff of the perfume collection.

I remember being impressed with a few scents (but now I couldn't pinpoint exactly which ones), so I casually asked about the price, and quickly taken aback by how steep it was. 🙃

But I promised myself that one day, I'd have them.

Fast forward to now, and I can't help but smile recalling how perseverance makes dreams attainable. My love for Le Labo grew organically over the years, starting with a simple visit, progressing to vials and decants, then travel sizes, and now, full bottles (and more in my neverending wishlist!)

I have too many good memories with Le Labo fragrances. From getting unsolicited compliments from friends and strangers, to being repetitively amazed by the scents when I wear them (always "wow-ed" me every freakin time). And boy do they linger on my skin eternally! 🩶

We'll always have our most faves in everything, right? In my case, these 10 are my MOST fave @diptyque babies which I would def repurchase if I ever finish a bottle (which I barely do, cuz I mostly use the vials/travel size more often and for me one humble spray is enough) 🍃

As someone who appreciates fragrances, I believe fragrance is for everyone!

Seeing more inclusive fragrance activations like this genuinely makes me excited. LUD @lipstickuntukdifabel and House of Rasa @houseof.rasa are bringing together women with and without disabilities to create their own signature scent in a welcoming space.

Fresh, green, a little sharp, but not trying too hard. That's how I'd conclude @loewe Esencia. 🌲

Esencia opens with that clean hit you want from a piney green scent: it stays bright, but gets drier and a little woodier the longer it wears. Still smells fresh, but with a bit more character the longer it stays on skin.

It's quite a complex fougere kind of scent that remains uplifting and clean, but never goes linear neither fades into the background. 💚

#longoverduepost : When I first discovered @officialbyredo released Animalique (two years ago now), I was intrigued. Based on the notes, I imagined it would lean green leather. Something sharper, maybe a bit more rugged.

As it turned out, it opens with this strange bitter-green smell. Sharp, rubbery, and dry, almost like suede soaked in bitter citrus peel. It’s not dirty. It’s not wild either. If anything, it feels sterile in a good way.

Suede.
Modern. Clean. Polished.

Maybe this is how Byredo reinterprets the whole idea of “animalic.” Not intimidating. Not loud. Just dry suede pressed against warm woods, with that bitter bite lingering underneath.

Strange and beautiful in its own way.

Not your typical boyfriend’s t*bacco scent. No syrup, no smoke cloud, no “I smell like a jazz bar” vibes. Volutes is smooth, spicy, slightly powdery, warm, cozy, and unexpectedly addictive. Dare I say, it's quite an introverted version of spicy, honeyed tobacco scent.

It's as if @diptyque really said: posh, not punchy. 👌🏻

It’s a long-overdue post, but it’s never too late to share something good, right?

I first got my hands on @saffnco in mid-2024 thanks to @olfaxtory, and I’m genuinely impressed by how seriously they take their product development. I’d heard comments about their fragrances being too oily, but honestly, the ones I have don’t show that issue. And scent-wise? I enjoy them! Esp their latest releases, Morfosia and Irai Leima! 💚

Here’s my take:

- Morfosia: Bright and zesty from the first spritz, with sparkling citrus and a hint of green rhubarb that reminds me of fresh-cut grass. 🌱 It softens into a musky, woody warmth, with amber and cedar creating a beautifully grounded finish. It’s vibrant yet comforting, a personal favorite naturally!

- Irai Leima: Think breezy, fresh, and yet invigorating. 🌊 It opens with a citrus burst of dalanghita (a juicy mandarin orange, apparently, now I learnt), balanced by airy florals that's not overly sweet--just right. The soft musky, aquatic finish feels serene and light, perfect for Bali’s vibe--where I live right now. 🌦️🌴

- Remedia Amoris: My personal fave from The Cloud Mist series! This one has a meditative depth with bitter black tea and roasted green tea at its heart. 🫖 The woody base of cedar adds calm and balance, while the blend feels zen, and beautifully composed.

- Sonnet 116: Bright and green with a zesty floral edge. It's uplifting and versatile. Somehow it's a tad sweeter than my usual picks, but still easy to wear and inoffensive.

- Annabel Lee: Sweet, girly, fruity-floral and a little nostalgic, reminds me a lot of my teenage days! 🧚🏼‍♀️ Cute, but a bit too sweet for my personal cup of tea.

Testing out @rojaparfums ‘Gardenia’ has been like a journey through an old-world garden. ✨💐✨

It opens with a hint of bergamot, then quickly unfolds into a lush, floral heart, and finishes with a warm, woody touch that grounds the floral notes.

Dare I say, the fragrance has a robust presence, layered with a subtle yet potent mix of floral and woody notes. ✨

This is not for fans of soft and delicate floral fragrances; it’s for those who embody classic elegance and a commanding aura. ✨
