The Rapha logo, created in 2004 by Luke Scheybeler • "The letterforms were based on hand-painted lettering from the side of a 1950s Citroën H Van, featured in the book 'Le Tour de France Intime'. I did a few mock-ups of our shortlisted brand names in various typeface styles and the descender/ascender relationship in 'Rapha’ just looked really good. Like flowing handwriting; as if it was a name... even in the crappy default Edwardian Script typeface." I paired the Rapha logo with ‘Performance Roadwear’ in Trade Gothic.
