Never been more hopeful or excited to vote for a candidate as for Zohran Mamdani. Someone who simply believes that everyone in this city deserves to live a life of dignity and safety, where their basic needs are met. The idea that this kind of vision is impossible or a “fantasy” is a lie fed to us daily by those who wish to hoard their money and power and watch the rest of the world burn. They try to suppress or dismiss the power of this potential and call it destructive, cynically pit people against each other as evidence that it can’t work. But really they just see no value in humanity if it doesn’t serve their ends. I really hope, starting with Zohran and his vision, that we can turn away from this towards something better.
