I won’t lie, this year has been really hard.

Becoming single again after a very long time was a big adjustment, and being pushed out of bands I loved in both Manchester and Scotland while my life was already changing hit me hard. Music has always been my lifeline, and losing that felt brutal on top of everything else I have been going through.

I was trying to hold together a relationship four hours away while giving more effort than the rest of the band put together, only to realise some friendships weren’t what I thought.

Feeling that unsupported took a toll, and things got bad enough at points that I had to call Samaritans and had welfare checks done.

At least I still have Mr Chocobo to keep me company and fingers crossed for a better year to come. by @schnoo
