Good morning Charlie! Chewie wouldn't have wanted for his bestie to be lonely so we adopted this sweet, beautiful prince named after the best movie/angels in the world (besides Chewie). He is scared af of human beings but lord knows he will get used to them ❤️❤️❤️ #adoptdontshop by @schoffy21

Chewie... my worst nightmare came true last month when I lost you. Thank you for being the most perfect chaotic angel I've ever known. I love you and miss you so much and can't wait to hear all about the socks you chewed and squirrels you caught. Until then ❤️❤️❤️ by @schoffy21

Started off 2023 by vowing it would be the "year of me" - focusing on personal goals and relationships instead of prioritizing more superficial things that sound fun but just drain your soul (and eardrums, if I went to the Eras tour - luckily only C&B this year). The year started off rough in every sense of the word, but proud (IG how do I make this rainbow colored?) of the steps made and relationships strengthened. Looking forward to the next half of the year, when we run the crazy evangelicals out of the country by blaring Padam so loud they think they are in Sodom and Gomorrah. And if that doesn't happen, I'll have fun voting. These cis, hetero "Christians" are trying to murder us! taken in Baltimore, Maryland by @schoffy21

Reagan led We Slay Hons to our best season yet!! I have been fortunate to know this amazing human for almost 9 years, and am still at a loss for words for everything he encapsulates. Reagan, you are not only the captain of a bunch of hons who slay but also a friend who listens, a partner who gives sage advice and above all, a human who loves unconditionally. I speak for hundreds of people in this city who are changed for the better because you are in our lives. Thank you for leading us to our best season yet ❤️🌈😘

Also, I made it home ok 🫶🫶 by @schoffy21

Woke up today realizing it's been a month since the world lost an angel, David Schofield. Uncle Dave was so many things to so many people. To me, he was a father, mother, uncle, best friend and guardian angel all wrapped up in one.

When I first came out, my parents did not tell Uncle Dave because they feared he would "drag me to hell" and prevent me from "returning" to being straight. Ironically, had he not called me that Wednesday in February 2011, I'm not sure how much longer I would have remained on this planet. Once we connected though, Uncle Dave was a constant source of unconditional love, sage advice and some of the craziest, funniest stories I have ever heard. His ability to light up any room he entered is unparalleled as are is his drawings. When I first moved to Baltimore, I was so excited to visit the now closed City Cafe because Uncle Dave had a magnificent drawing hanging to the right as soon as you walked in. All of his art was in black and white, the complete opposite of the rainbow world he painted with his existence every day.

Grief is such a weird thing. Sometimes you are totally fine and the next thing you know you are collapsed bawling next to the frozen mangos in Harris Teeter, remembering how he loved to make smoothies with fresh mangos from his tree in Key West. It is so cliche but I, like everyone else still here who met him, will never be the same. I take comfort from knowing though that we will not be the same because he changed us in so many positive ways. We are truly better people because of you, Uncle Dave.

Uncle Dave's death happened so quickly there wasn't much time to prepare or say any "last words". I was lucky enough to be able to speak to him a few days before he passed and was able to share with him how he has shaped my life. I do not for a second take for granted how lucky I am to have someone like Uncle Dave in my life; my heart breaks because I know so many LGTBQ+ people do not have anyone in their lives to talk about their problems with. I hope people know I love (probably too much) to talk and am always here ❤️.

May you rest in peace 💞 by @schoffy21
