1. It’s practical for grocery shopping because it has a front trunk (I can fit exactly two bags of chips and a six-pack inside)
2. It’s a very safe and sensible car for bad weather (If it rains 3 drops, the car stays in the garage under a heated blanket)
3. I will learn to do small repair myself (I didn’t)
4. I bought it so we can take romantic weekend trips together (I get mad if she even breathes too loudly near the leather seats)
5. She will get a new handbag (she forgot)

1. It’s actually a highly professional advanced driving safety training.
(Inside: I will spin out at 150 km/h in the first corner trying to race the GT3 in front of me.)

2. It’s the perfect environment to test the car’s safety features under controlled conditions.
(Inside: I am praying to god that the traction control saves my life when I lift off the throttle mid-corner.)

3. I’m just going there as a spectator to watch some nice cars and talk to friends.
(Inside: I already paid the non-refundable track entry fee three weeks ago and bought a new helmet.)

4. It’s a very cost-effective hobby because I don’t pay for speeding tickets on a track.
(Inside: One track weekend costs more than a two-week premium all-inclusive family vacation in Dubai.)

5. The instructors said my driving style is incredibly smooth and responsible.
(Inside: The instructor literally yelled into my headset ,, you are too fast, the group can’t follow’’)

During Bella Italia at MOTORWORLD München, I had the chance to meet Dominik Lommer and learn more about his work as an automotive artist.
His Racing Legends series brings together two worlds that have always fascinated me: motorsport and art — celebrating the people, cars and stories that shaped automotive history.

1. The speed bumps are basically designed to destroy your front splitter.
One wrong angle and your holiday starts with carbon fibre on the pavement.
2. Parking in Saint-Tropez is a contact sport.
Tiny spaces, scooters everywhere and people who apparently believe bumpers are meant to be used.
3. The roads are amazing… until you’re stuck in traffic for two hours.
A 20-minute drive can suddenly become your entire afternoon.
4. I don’t need to bring one.
One of my clients usually gives me one of his cars while I’m down there.
Probably the most unreasonable reason on this list.
5. I want to enjoy the Porsche, not babysit it.
No checking the car every five minutes, no worrying about underground garages, curbs or someone opening their door into it.

So yes… I love road trips. Just not €200k road trips to Saint-Tropez. 😂

1. I’m taking the car out to run a quick, essential errand in Pforzheim.
(Inside: The errand is literally a $2 scoop of vanilla ice cream, but the route back takes 3 hours through the black forest.)
2. I’m driving super smoothly so l don’t drop any ice cream on the alcantara seats.
(Inside: I am holding the ice cream cone out the window with my left hand while pulling 1.2G in a roundabout.)
3. The GT4 RS is actually a great city car for a quick Sunday afternoon trip.
(Inside: I spent 20 minutes finding a parking spot where nobody can park within a 50-meter radius.)
4. The sound of the engine is very subtle when you’re just cruising to the gelato shop.
(Inside: The air intakes behind my head at 9,000 RPM
nearly blew the top scoop right off my cone.)
5. This was a very budget-friendly and simple weekend activity.
(Inside: I spent $150 on race fuel and wore down $300
worth of Cup 2 R tires for a $2 ice cream🍦.)
