We’re building something big this summer. School of Uke is going outdoors! ☀️🎪🎶

We’ve launched a crowdfunder to build a pop-up music pavilion so we can take lessons, jams, workshops and live music into parks, markets and festivals.

If you’ve ever been to a School of Uke session, you know the vibe. Now imagine it outside in the sunshine, with people gathering, joining in and becoming part of it.

That’s the dream. And we’re making it happen. We just need to raise £7,000 by the 11 June.

There are some brilliant rewards up for grabs:

🎵 Lesson Passes & Summer Nights Sessions
🎸 Personalised musical goodies
👕 Limited edition DUKE & School of Uke merch
🎉 Your name printed inside the pavilion itself

This is about building something together and bringing more music, joy and community into the world.

Back the pavilion. Support our crowdfunder. Link in bio. by @school_of_uke

Learn, play, and connect through our upbeat ukulele lessons at pubs and venues in London, Brighton & Bristol.

School of Uke is a full-volume entertainment experience that transforms how people connect with music — and with each other.

Our parties and events mix bold ukulele-powered performances of everything from Billie Eilish to Blondie, Chaka Khan to Jorja Smith with DJs spinning R&B, disco and dancefloor heat ‘til late — always high-energy and UNFORGETTABLE.

And when we’re not throwing the party, we’re building up to it – with bold, cheeky, drink-in-hand group lessons where the energy’s just as high.

Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned player, from your very first session, you’re playing real songs, in real time, in a buzzy setting where music belongs: in pubs, bars, and live music venues.

Playing music together is powerful — it builds confidence, reduces stress, and strengthens real-life connection.

Our 5 and 10-week group courses build towards epic live showcases and parties, while our taster sessions, and workshops are perfect for anyone who just wants to dip a toe in and have a great night out.

Not sure where to start?

See the different level descriptions in the carousel.

🎼 Level 1 - Absolute Beginners

💫 Level 2 - Don’t Stop Me Now

🎶 Level 3 - I’m so Excited

🌟 Level 4 - Just Can’t Get Enough

🥂 Level 5 - Rip it Up

🪩 Level 6 - Get it On

⚡️ Level 7 - Moving on Up

🤩 Level 8 - Get Ur Freak On

💥 Level 9 - Ukulele Boss

If you’re unsure whether it’s your thing, we run regular Discover the Ukulele sessions — relaxed, 1-hour tasters where we provide the ukuleles, guide you through the basics, and help you play your first song — all in a friendly pub setting with other curious peeps.

No pressure. No experience needed. Just a chance to see what our courses are actually like before committing.

School of Uke is all about exploring music together — unlocking confidence, connection, and creativity through the songs you love.

Our new SOU promo film shot earlier this year @thecastlelondon with our AMAZING STUDENTS!!! 💖 We realised that we have loads of pics and films of our shows and parties, but not much from our actual lessons. So if you’re wondering what our music lessons are actually like, this is a pretty good example! 🎶🥂🍻🎉

Our group lessons for adults 18+ take place in selected London pubs, on Mon, Tue or Wed evenings. If you like the idea of going to the pub, meeting new people, and learning to play a musical instrument at the same time, then this is definitely for you!

We’re booking now for beginner taster events, and a new season of lessons for complete beginners, intermediate and advanced players (adults 18+), so find the link 🔗 up top and get involved! 🤩🎶🎉
