The School Nite Sessions lot are back on their bullsh*t again, ready and willing to pierce the tough skin of Govanhill with another rave injection.

This month’s line-up features, in addition to your hosts Swedger & Angel Cake, 4kitsake & jordanpordan.

We’re super-stoked to have 4kitsake back with us this month for their second SNS set and we are anticipating greatness once again!

Our headliner this month will be jordanpordan, a Bangface enthusiast with a penchant for silly party tunes.

Expect to hear a multitude of styles throughout the night: bassline, house, French Touch, UK garage, rave & potentially happy hardcore; we love to see it!

@jordanpordan_ is our headliner for Sunday and we are stoked for their debut on the School Nite Sessions stage!

Here’s what they said when asked what got them into DJing:

“In early 2024 my friend and I were offered a show on a local community radio station with zero DJing experience! After just one session at Pirate Studios we were on the right path.

Afterwards, there were then more opportunities for me to DJ and the more I played, the more I enjoyed it.

I’ve now been holding down the show for over two years and have played incredible venues like Sneaky Pete’s, Stereo, and Exit.

I have to thank all the amazing and inspiring people I have met through clubbing and DJing. I continue to be pushed and inspired by the (plentiful) community of DJs I am surrounded by in life.”

This Sunday @4kitsake will be opening the night. Here she explains what got her into DJing.

“I initially got into DJing around early 2012 using a browser based app and played mainly deep house and adjacent genres. However, my DJing then fell to the wayside.

In 2020 I watched a 99Jakes B2B Alice Gas set through a livestream. The unfiltered energy from that set motivated me to return to DJing. This time, however, I wanted to play the most obnoxiously loud and fast music that I loved, but lacked the confidence to mix into my sets at that time.

When I transitioned a year or so later, I finally had the confidence to realise that dream.

My DJing style is now: Girly, Sparkly, & Obnoxious ✨”

Mira Vale is our headliner tonight and we are very excited for his return to the School Nite Sessions stage! Here's what he said when asked what got him into DJing. "My journey into electronic music began on long family road trips, where two very different musical worlds collided. One side of the family gravitated toward orchestral & cinematic compositions, while the other introduced the energy of artists like deadmau5 & Knife Party.

That curiosity naturally led to music production. Every track is an attempt to merge cinematic atmosphere with intricate sound design & club-focused energy. DJing came later, not as the goal, but as a way to share those productions where they belonged most: on the dance floor." @realmysticwondermiravale

SNS 7: Sunday 26/07/26 at Adrian’s Bar, Govanhill, G42 8RW. Tickets are £5! 🎟️

Prepare to dust off those dancing shoes for another riveting School Nite Sessions line-up. We’re bringing you house, disco, garage, techno, bassline, Punjabi pop, French Touch & some multi-genre madness! 🥳

First up is newcomer Medea, a trans-woman drag artist with a penchant for classic Punjabi music & Bollywood bangers. She alternates between old-school Bollywood femme & Barbie, aiming to embody the ultimate burlesque doll. We are unbelievably hyped to see what kind of energy she plans to bring to the decks on the night! 🎉

Next up is SNS resident Angel Cake, who will be bringing her signature blend of French house music and indie sleaze energy. Expect lots of Justice and Daft Punk, interspersed with Fake Blood, Crookers and Giorgio Moroder. With mixing skills which would make a seasoned DJ do a double-take her sets are not to be missed. 🎉

Speaking of seasoned DJs who need to up their game, our next artist is Swedger: Southwest Scotland’s resident bassline bam. With 15+ years of producing music ranging from bass house to UK garage to hyperpop & footwork, this SNS resident can be counted on to bring the silliness in all its forms. 🎉

Closing out the night is SNS alum & all-round musical phenom Mira Vale. This genre-fluid artist known for crafting immersive, dark shadow-soaked soundscapes & textures has releases on Deadmau5’s record label mau5trap, as well as experience of mixing at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). Mira Vale has carved out a distinct musical identity rooted in intensity, precision and atmosphere. We were so bowled over with his skills last time that we just had to invite him back to headline for us! 🎉

Here's what our artist RMG had to to say about his entry to DJing. "I got my first set of 1210s when I was 13. Hip hop/ turntableism was the flavour back then. At the age of 17, I was taken to the Arches to see Plastikman. I was consumed by the sound he produced and started producing and playing that same minimalist sound which evolved into my current blend of techno, jungle, hip-hop & bass music spanning over 20 years between production and DJing." @ravemakesglasgow

"I started DJing in 2017 after being put on the path by a pal who brought their controller to a gaff I went to, and from there I wanted to learn more. School Nite Sessions No. 6: Sunday 28/06/26 @ Adrian's Bar, Govanhill, G42 8RW. Tickets: £5! 🎟️

Once again School Nite Sessions is bringing the heat to Glasgow's southside in another attempt to provide inclusive raving for the price of a pint. The four artists confirmed for the night will spin tunes so incendiary as to make a Catherine Wheel jealous.

The night will begin with the wonderful "RMG", otherwise know as "Rave Makes Glasgow". This dude not only delights in dropping deviously cool house bangers but also shares a similar ethos to School Nite Sessions, in that he seeks to provide community-building opportunities through his own events. RMG has been bringing acid house to Glasgow's hallowed Barras complex, in addition to hosting popular events in Edinburgh. We are very excited to witness this skilled selecta in effect at our own night!

For the purposes of raising the tempo we have sought out the talents of "Glavinci", another Glasgow-based musical maestro with a penchant for crafting techno bangers so crunchy that they'd make the likes of Blawan and Randomer blush. With kick drums dirty enough to blow holes in the walls of a Berlin warehouse, Glavinci will undoubtedly bestow upon our humble pre-club night a wealth of frenzied foot-stomping techno heaters. You can hear some of his own productions on the Intuition Glasgow SoundCloud page.

Closing the curtain on this night will be a tag team consisting of our resident "Swedger" and a cherished friend of School Nite Sessions, the mighty "skyired". These two will bring a veritable smörgåsboard of slick styles such as bassline, speed garage, speedbass and rave-infused house bootlegs to the room. With the lads performing a back-to-back set we can expect to hear a variety of dangerously hard tunes. Both Swedger and skyisred are digging deep in their figurative crates to assemble a ludicrously lively set. We reckon that their combined powers are sure to bring a few extra degrees of heat to our phenomenally gorgeous venue, Adrian's Bar on Victoria Road in Govanhill, Glasgow.
