In Protector, I explore the enduring mythology of the superhero, specifically the iconic figure of Superman, through the dynamic interplay of collage and paint. This mixed-media piece captures the hero in motion—propelled across the canvas, embodying the relentless pursuit of justice. Layers of color, texture, and form merge to reflect both the power and vulnerability inherent in the role of protector. By blending pop culture imagery with expressive painting, I aim to evoke nostalgia, hope, and the timeless struggle between right and wrong.

In "Crimson Charger," I explore the concept of the 2026 year of the Chinese fire horse which symbolizes intense unstoppable energy, passion and rapid transformation. It's bold, fearless, and independent spirit signifies my desire for action, risk-taking, and creativity.

I owe so many magnificent people a giant THANKS for supporting my much-loved art show at the @holtermuseum this summer. You are my cheerleaders, mentors, confidants and never-failing loves. I'm sorry I couldn't tag everyone, but I know I've thanked you many times in person. My Stark Unreality show wraps up this Sunday, Sept. 1 at 4; treasured every minute of this experience. This collection is a story that definitely needs to be told. taken in Holter Museum of Art by @schwarzkarststudio

It took a power team to have my "Stark Unreality" exhibition come to fruition. Thank you to these amazing creatives for the support and going the EXTRA MILE. I could not have done it alone. After you see the incredible way in which the @holtermuseum is displaying my work, you'll understand why I have deep gratitude for these four behind-the-scenes guys that realized my vision and helped me make it happen.

Thank you beautiful people for making my "Stark Unreality" art opening a smashing success. Where would I be without you all?

The story is too good not to share. I'll be in and out of Helena for the next two months during the duration of my show. Let me know if you are visiting and I'll try to meet up with you to give you a personal walk through.

Slinging paint on canvas to create is my jam. However, bringing it to the large screen has added another dimension.

In the last two years, during the same time period of creating paintings for my museum show, I managed to produce a couple of large SU commissions, plus multiple animal pieces for my Radius show, a slug of Rust Belts for my Cello show and making plans to deliver art to Underscore. No wonder I feel like Dorothy, in The Wizard of Oz, spinning in the middle of a cyclone. However, considering all the whirlwind flurry of painting, I still safely landed and have successfully followed the yellow brick road.

One of my 12-foot triptychs I'll be showing at the Holter is partially inspired by Stonehenge; bold imagery which parallels with the ancient megalith's vertical sarsen and horizontal lintel stones. There is more to the story concerning "Body.Mind.Spirit.," but I thought it was apropos to share these close-up teasers on summer solstice. Happy new beginnings and peace to all of you.
