Here’s another sweater I finished long ago, but never got around to sharing.. my Lento sweater!

I finished this last spring and got a lot of wear out of it as the weather warmed up. It’s a simple top down raglan, made on 6mm needles which gives quite a loose gauge. It fits like a dream and has a light and airy feel.

I made this using Alpaca Silk sock yarn from @nervusfibre held with @naviafaroeislands Alpakka. It’s such a beautifully soft combination that feels so nice against the skin. I can’t wait for spring so I can wear this again!

F R E E S T Y L E 💚

I made the 90s / Y2K bouclé sweater of my dreams!

I came across this yarn just after I’d finished my Sweater No 24. I fell in love with it instantly but couldn’t justify buying the six hanks required to make another No 24, so I bought four and thought I’d try something top down and just stop when I ran out of yarn.. turns out I only needed three!

I imagined Spice Girls meets Buffy the vampire slayer. Something I can wear with a mini skirt and chunky boots and… I think I nailed it?! I’m so obsessed with the bell sleeves ✨

I finished just in time to wear to the No Frills knitting social on the weekend.. but of course it was dark by the time I was ready! So stay tuned for for more photos of this once the sun returns 🤩

✨🔮 TERRAZZO SWEATER 🔮✨

I absolutely loved knitting this sweater. The construction of the shoulders is just exquisite and the #noroyarn is so fun to knit. I enjoyed watching the colours change row after row, which made it really hard to put down!

When my Noro yarn arrived, I instantly thought a lilac/purple mohair would look perfect with it, although I was a bit worried it would overpower the other yarn… I swatched with some cream and pink just to be sure, but I knew I’d made the right choice! When the sunlight hits this sweater the colours are divine.. plus it’s incredibly cosy! 🌈✨

The sun blessed my basement flat with some light today so I finally took some photos of my first top-down raglan! It’s still as cosy as ever 🥰

I knit this sweater a few years ago, after buying a kit from #woolandthegang … I wasn’t feeling the pattern so decided to use the yarn to freestyle a raglan sweater. I didn’t know anything about short row shaping at the time and definitely did my bind off too tight.. but I loved it and have worn it loads each winter!

Having learned A LOT about knitting since then, I recently unravelled the ribbing and added some short rows to the bottom of the sweater, just to see if it would even work! I’ve added a bit of length and finished with a lovely Italian bind off and it’s really given new life to this sweater.

I used #lilhealthewool by @woolandthegang and I have to say I love this yarn, it’s so soft and the colours are amazing when the light hits it 🤩 by @sci_fibre_

N E A R L Y T H E R E

I’ve finished my short row shaping, redone the ribbing and finished with a lovely Italian bind off 🤌🏻🖤

I spent this morning giving the whole sweater a good combing to remove any fuzz and now it’s having a nice soak 🛁🫧

I’m glad I finally got around to fixing this one - as happy as I was when it was first made, it wasn’t perfect. I’ve been able to add some length and create a better fit.. I can’t wait to wear it again! by @sci_fibre_

S W E A T E R S U R G E R Y

I knit this sweater a few years ago and it’s one of my favourites every winter, but the bind off was always a little too tight.. I’ve been wanting to redo it since I learned Italian bind-off!

This sweater was made without any short row shaping.. so after a lot of YouTube searching, I’m going to attempt some shaping at the lower back to see how it looks and if it creates a better fit 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

While I sit knitting on the sofa watching The X Files, here are a few pics from the Halloween party Saturday night! We didn’t take many and I’m thankful for that 🥴

I’ve been wanting to be Beetlejuice for a while and realised I hadn’t dressed up for Halloween since 2018… where I went as Miss Argentina!!

The #mirasweater pattern by @yarn.me.up has been released! I had the pleasure of testing this incredible pattern and I’m so pleased with my finished piece… it’s just so cool 😎❤️

I might re-knit my sleeves at some point following some adjustments made to the pattern during testing and to attempt some better blending of my 2 skeins 🫣

If you were tempted by the #mikatee I’d highly recommend this pattern for the cooler months!

I’ve made some good progress on my #mirasweater test knit for @yarn.me.up over the last week. I really love this pattern.. while there are a lot of steps to follow, it becomes pretty intuitive after a few rounds! It’s a really enjoyable knit and the payoff is so good when the stitches are dropped 🤩

I’m really happy with my colour choice too, I can tell I’ll be reaching for this a lot once the weather cools down. I’m using @malabrigoyarn Sock in Ravelry Red ❤️🥀

L O V A S O C K S

Made some progress on my #lovasocks on Saturday during a knitting social hosted by @nofrillsknitting in Bristol. I’m really glad I put myself out there and met some lovely local knitters while indulging in a 3 course meal… although I am still haunted by the dessert I couldn’t finish! I’m looking forward to the next one for sure 🥂

These socks will be so perfect once the weather cools down and I love that they will be sisters, not twins!
