Hi my name is Stefanie and I am a neuroscientist who has worked in both academic and industry settings. Existing as a black woman in this field has generated many anecdotes and life lessons that I would like to share. I often find myself centered in dilemmas of formality and self-expression, which I have always processed by writing in my journal. So here I am… journaling to the world, this is my experience doing Science while Black.

I've been feeling like writing some new things, different commentaries that aren't science heavy but it's still relevant because I'm doing the writing and I'm a scientist.

Who watched The Substance ? How about Death Becomes Her? Science while "aging beautifully" is live on my site. I speculate on what biological processes these formulas may act on.
