Reminder: Sci-Fi Valley Con’s No-AI Artwork Policy We want to remind all vendors that Sci-Fi Valley Con has a strict policy prohibiting the sale of artwork, merchandise, prints, or other products created using generative AI. Vendors are not permitted to sell AI-generated “artwork” at the event. We also strongly discourage the use of AI-generated advertisements, banners, booth displays, or other promotional materials within vendor spaces. This policy reflects the overwhelming support we have received from our attendees, artists, creators, and vendors. Sci-Fi Valley Con stands in solidarity with working artists, designers, writers, performers, and other creative professionals whose work, livelihoods, and intellectual property are affected by the unethical use of generative AI. Our staff cannot identify every potential violation without the community’s assistance. Attendees and vendors who believe AI-generated products are being sold should report their concerns directly to event staff or leadership so the situation can be reviewed and addressed promptly. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping us support genuine creativity, protect working artists, and maintain a fair and ethical marketplace at Sci-Fi Valley Con. No more AI slop, please!
