I MET THE 12TH DOCTOR - PETER CAPALDI!!

Last night me and my friend Jake went to the @petercapaldimusic Brighton gig for his Sweet Illusions tour and we managed to meet the legend himself, something I have wanted to do for a long time!

Not only did we get to meet him and have photos together, but Peter very kindly signed all of my DVDs! What a LEGEND!

The show was absolutely amazing, Peter and his band really know how to put on a show, the stage presence, speeches, jokes, audience participation and all round positive vibes.

A nice surprise to bump into our friend @deadvermin38 who joined us for the gig and we got a photo together with our merch, when I asked Peter if we could do one together with the shirts, he replied “I’ll be the living shirt” which was great. A truly unforgettable day.

I MET THE 4TH DOCTOR - TOM BAKER!!

I still can’t get over the fact that this isn’t a dream! Yesterday I had the honour, the privilege of attending the @cygnusalphaevents A Moment In Time and got to meet the truly legendary Tom Baker!

I never thought I would be able to meet the Iconic 4th Doctor and it’s all thanks to @cygnusalphaevents @iankubiak @kirbylifee and so many others

Tom was an absolute delight, a true gentleman, The Doctor through and through. Witty and captivating, when I went to meet him I got nervous and excited and my lip would not stop twitching haha!

Tom signed my season 14 Blu-Ray set which you can see with my season 12 set and also signed my Doctor Who Monster Book, very kindly given to me by my friend @peterledwith to get signed, it’s so special

I also had the honour of being able to wear Tom’s screen worn 19 foot scarf as seen in the epilogue scene in Shada! It’s a beautiful scarf, comprised of hero and stunt scarfs from various seasons throughout Tom’s era, an absolute treat to be in the presence of thanks to some more brilliant fans in attendance

I am truly grateful to have had my Moment In Time with Tom Baker!

I MET MATT SMITH - THE 11TH DOCTOR TODAY!

Today has been mental, me and my best friend @kirbylifee embarked on a mental 9 hour long mission to track down Matt Smith in the hopes of meeting him today as he films in our home town of all places, and we managed to meet the legend!

Truly a rollercoaster, a whole lot of patience, travelling about and luck, my best friend is truly one of a kind and truly amazing for making this happen, Matt is truly lovely, a legend, so lovely and kind, he signed my series 5 dvd cover and the insert inside! A dream come true!

The DVD cover autograph reads “To Callum ❤️, MS, The Doctor”

The insert autograph reads “To Callum, MS, From 11 x” I think!

I Met Ruth Jones From Gavin & Stacey And Torchwood!!

On Friday I braved the dreadful weather in a mad attempt to try and meet Ruth Jones on the last day of filming for The Choir in my hometown. I was SUCCESSFUL!!

A kind person from the crew took my Gavin & Stacey box set from me to get signed and then shortly afterwards Ruth very kindly came out and we got a photo together. Initially I embarrassed myself a bit because I was nervous and soaked but also I am quite blind so when Ruth came over and asked if I got my stuff signed I said that I did and was hoping to meet Ruth Jones, she then replied and said “I am Ruth”. I felt like such a plonker! But I am a very happy chappy. Ruth wrote “O! Callum! What’s occurin?” Which is just perfect! Ruth also appeared in Torchwood in a heartbreaking story called ‘Adrift’. I’ve always got to find some connection to the Whoniverse haha. I’ve attached some screenshots from the episode.

Not that the relevant people will see this, but thank you to Ruth and all the actors who gave their time to not just me but all the fans around on the filming days. Thank you to all the kind crew members who said good morning, spoke to me and went above and beyond to help me and keep me sheltered from the rain, one of them was a man named Josh, what a legend!

I Met James Corden From Gavin & Stacey And Doctor Who!!

On Wednesday I went to watch the filming for a new @appletv show called The Choir. Created by James Corden & Ruth Jones. I was lucky enough to catch James twice, the first time he kindly stopped for a photo and to sign my Gavin & Stacey box set, the second time he kindly signed my series 5 Doctor Who DVD and we briefly chatted about Matt Smith who also signed the DVD a few years ago.

I returned on Friday and he kindly signed my Doctor Who Series 6 DVD as well!

I have wanted to meet James for ages, I’ve enjoyed all projects that I have seen him in, especially Doctor Who of course and Gavin & Stacey, we were even both at the Sidemen Charity Football Match in 2023, he was sat above where I was sat. I’m glad I went and watched and managed to achieve my goal, James was very kind and polite and I’m grateful for the time he spent with me and other fans this week.

My Signed Doctor Who Limited Edition Blu-Ray Collection Set 2026 Update!

In June last year, I made a post covering the autographs I had on my collection sets and the time, and I thought it was time to do a 2026 edition of that post as I have added a few since then to the collection.

Since that update I have added the following people to the collection sets:

Louise Jameson - Season 14
Lalla Ward - Season 17
Matthew Waterhouse - Season 18 & 19

Hopefully I can add some more autographs in the future to my sets and the 2027 update will have lots of names, you just never know what’s around the corner.

A Sealed Torchwood Weevil Figure From SciFi Collector!!

At Brighton Comic Con last weekend, I found a stall selling Funko pops and cards, including some of the new Battles In Time cards. Also on the table was a handful of other Doctor Who bits, and among them was this Weevil figure from Torchwood.

I’m not entirely sure what I’ll do with it at the moment, but for £5, I couldn’t leave it behind and didn’t want to leave the convention empty handed.

The seller was nice to chat with about Doctor Who and all things related to it, I don’t recall his name or business though so sadly can’t tag.

I’ve Managed To Dig Up An Attempt At A Stop-Motion Animation I Made About 14 Years Ago!!

I was sorting out some photos and videos, backing things up so I can easily look back on things I’ve done and I found this animation I made around 2012/2013 and thought I’d share it.

I have no idea what I was going for but for some reason it seems that Martha ends up dead after not listening to The Doctor and the TARDIS goes into meltdown and transports her to a planet overrun by Daleks who exterminate her the moment she leaves the TARDIS, TV Movie style haha.

The video had no sound originally so I just put the theme over the top so it wasn’t as boring. Also one of the Daleks was blind it seems as it had no eyestalk!

Double Trouble - Two Doctor Who Magazine Finds!!

I know I’m late to the party but I did find the latest @doctorwho_magazine in the shops a few weeks ago. In fact on the day I found the magazine, I also spent most of the day watching filming for the @itv show Grace in the hopes I could see @johnsimmofficial but unfortunately I didn’t see him on the day I went, but it was awesome he was in my town!!

Anyways it’s lovely to see one of the best classic companion duos on the cover, Polly at centre stage, played by Anneke Wills, and on the right, the brilliant Ben played by Michael Craze!

I also found a @hachettepartworks Dalek magazine in the wild, which is the newest issue I have seen in quite a while, will I see more in the future? Who knows! But I look forward to seeing the next issue of @doctorwho_magazine in the shops soon.

I Met Adric, Companion To The 4th & 5th Doctors At Brighton Comic Con 2026!

Last Sunday I had the opportunity to meet Matthew Waterhouse at @creedconventions October Brighton Comic Con.

It was great to finally meet Matthew as I have wanted to meet him for a while, there was a local opportunity to meet him in 2024 at a special cinema event, but I was unable to make that. But now I have met him and Matthew was very kind, we chatted for a moment about favourite stories both from a viewing perspective but also a filming perspective.

Matthew signed both my Season 18 and Season 19 Blu-Ray Collection Sets and included The Star of Mathematical Excellence which is a lovely addition.

As for the comic con itself, it was very underwhelming, no clear signage for where the talk stage and photoshoots were, lots of empty space that could have accommodated more stalls and guests, low quality photo opportunities, and lack of communication on the socials in regards to answering questions and informing people about guest cancellations. Last years event was much better, I hope they improve for the next Brighton event.

I Won A Limited Edition Content Creator Battles In Time Card!!

How epic is this! I am now the proud owner of a very special Doctor Who Battles In Time Card featuring the brilliant @christeldeeofficial

I was very lucky and was one of the winners announced in Christel’s latest Obliterator unboxing video on @youtube and I asked if Christel could sign the card for me which was very kindly agreed to. If you’ll remember, I also had the pleasure of meeting Christel at BOOM! last year.

I have been a fan of Battles In Time since they came out in the mid to late 2000’s and not only do I think it’s awesome that it’s come back, but never did I think that someone who’s content I enjoy, would become a card! The other creatives who have cards that I would love to own one day are @tiakofi and @georgeclarkeey

Thank you @christeldeeofficial for sending me one of these and for the opportunity to get one. Thank you to @masterreplicasofficial for bringing the Battles In Time cards back. And if you’d like to know more about Battles In Time, check out @drwhotc and his website which is extremely extensive and covers virtually all you need to know about the cards and their history.

Wild Doctor Who & Red Dwarf Finds From The Last 6 Weeks!!

I’m back! Let’s be fair, not a lot of people (probably) noticed my absence, but here I am with a post showing off most of the things I have spotted in the wild since my last post.

It’s nice to have a real mix of pieces to show, figures, DVDs, books, magazines and even a card game!

I’ve got a few posts in the works so stay tuned and I’ll try and get back to posting more regularly as I really enjoy it.
