A heartfelt thank you to @lalamanzisafaris for their generous donation to the SCI Middle East Chapter. Your support and commitment to conservation are truly appreciated.
A very special thank you as well to @bo_shamlan89 , who generously purchased this donation at our Gala Event auction. Your contribution is a wonderful example of how hunters and conservation-minded individuals can come together to make a real difference.
Conservation is about protecting wildlife, preserving habitats, and ensuring healthy populations for generations to come. Sustainable, ethical hunting is an important tool in conservation — when properly managed, it creates funding for wildlife protection, supports local communities, protects habitats, and gives wildlife a tangible economic value.
Hunting is not the opposite of conservation — responsible hunting can be a powerful part of it.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission and the future of wildlife. #conservation #hunting #donation #support #safariclubinternational by @scimiddleeast

The SCI Middle East Chapter is proud to celebrate the successful completion of a hunting donation in the beautiful Eastern Cape of South Africa, generously provided by @safariolympique
The hunt was purchased at the SCI Middle East Chapter Gala Event auction by @anhalthani turning a generous contribution into an unforgettable safari experience while supporting the important work of conservation.
At the end of July, the safari took place in the Eastern Cape and was a great success. Beyond the experience itself, this donation represents something much greater: the power of cooperation between hunters, outfitters, SCI chapters, and conservation-minded supporters to contribute to the sustainable management and protection of wildlife and wild habitats.
A special thank you goes to Erich Muller, Liaison Director, whose dedication and coordination were instrumental in bringing the outfitter and hunter together and ensuring that every detail was organized to make this safari possible.
The SCI Middle East Chapter sincerely thanks Olympique Safaris, Sheikh Abdulrahman Nasser Al Thani, and Erich Muller for their commitment and support.
Together, we demonstrate that responsible hunting, conservation, and international cooperation can make a meaningful contribution to the future of wildlife. #donation #conservation #safariclubinternational #hunting #support by @scimiddleeast

Some days in the veld refuse to follow the script.

The morning delivered clean shooting and a Springbuck Grand Slam, Black, Copper, Kalahari, and White. Four trophies, each earned on its own turf, the red earth plains of our North Camp of the Eastern Cape.

By afternoon, the real work began. More miles. More glassing. More patience. That’s where luck usually finds you.

The day closed with a Blue Wildebeest bull that will be hard to match. Not because it was expected, but because days like this rarely come together.

The kind of hunt that reminds you why you keep coming back and why we at Safari Olympique do things differently.

Some trophies are measured in inches. Others are measured in heart.

A free-range mountain eland in the Eastern Cape highlands is never given, it is earned. Every steep climb, every burning lung, every aching muscle, and every moment of doubt is part of the journey. The mountains don’t care who you are. They only reward those willing to endure.

Today, our hunter proved his grit. His mental toughness and physical determination carried him to a moment few will ever experience. That deserves the deepest respect.

And standing opposite him was this magnificent old Eland bull, a true giant of the mountains. Wise, resilient, and wild to the very end. He earned our admiration long before the shot, and he leaves with the respect that every great animal deserves. 🙌

This is more than hunting. It’s humility, perseverance, and an encounter with the wild that stays with you forever. It’s Safari Olympique.
