Made my 1st sub a duet with Octobelle Manchester out of thin AI-r. rest is all about the vibe, played it by the book. no strained face, no absurdly exaggerated head nodding, no super finger acrobatic pad hacking. just me in this cluttered basement witth a bit of equipment, immersing in Octobers vibe. fragile and ethereal. hypnotic repetitions. sparse accents. never kill a celestial vibe... Thanks for your time, enjoy!

On this day in 1993

A milestone of German hip-hop was born. The release of the "Alte Schule" LP marked one of the most important records for the local culture.

This masterpiece embodied the core pillars of the movement like no other: Rap, DJing, and B-boying. Legendary pioneers such as the Stieber Twins & Zeb.Roc.Ski, Toni L & DJ Mike MD, Tecroc & Grodio, Torch, Scopemann, DJ Stylewarz, and Linguist all left their mark on this compilation.

📍 Location: Sommerfesthalle in Oberhausen (Baden-Württemberg)

I was there live back then, and for me, this concert was an absolute highlight of that era! It was an incredibly awesome show, even though the venue unfortunately wasn't well-attended, and to this day, I don't even know how many stops this tour actually had. Alongside the hip-hop icons and the Point Blank Breakers, the line-up that night was wild and diverse.

Sharing the stage were bands like B.U.N.D.Y., Dead Anyway, Orgasmic Chill Out, and The Poost Bloom. To be honest, I don't remember much from most of those acts—except for The Poost Bloom. They were a great, up-and-coming alternative rock band from the nearby Mannheim/Heidelberg region and really brought the energy.

Ultimately, it was an unforgettable night at the Sommerfesthalle, where DJing, rap, and spectacular breaking laid the foundation for everything that followed. A true piece of music history!

Did any of you happen to be in Oberhausen that night, or do you still have the LP in your collection?

From the end of 1993 till the beginning of 1996 we were running the Hip-Hop show on the German TV channel VIVA. A lot of life blood went into the program.
Today many people see me in a good place and want to get there as well, without having any idea of what it took to get there.

In the photo you see:
Scopeman, Torch, DJ Stylewars (wearing a Mode II shirt) and myself. According to the size of my neck I can tell how much I was working on my halos those days.

Hip-Hop culture was definitely in the building! Über 2,5 Stunden Show, volles Haus, pure Energie.

LINE UP:
STF • SBG • Torch • LSD • CUS • Def Benski • D-Tex Law • Fast Forward •
ÄI-TIEM • Fader Gladiator • DJ Cabite

Blitz Mob – 30 Jahre „Die Organisation“.

🎙️ Was ist TALK AUF DEM TELLER?

Hip-Hop culture was definitely in the building!

Mehrere Songs wurden erstmals überhaupt live performt, u. a. „Speak Out“ und „That`s the Joint“ (SBG) sowie „International Dope Dealers“ in dieser Konstellation.

Über 2,5 Stunden Show, volles Haus, pure Energie.
