Skipper's Masterclass. 💎

When you need to bounce back, you look to your leader.

Solid 2nd half performance steers City to victory over RSSR.

After a forgettable first half where the squad were unable to convert their opportunities, the Scorch City team got their breakthrough soon after a red card was issued to their opponent for an off-the-ball incident.
Midfielder Finn de Freitas sent in a swerving delivery direct from a corner kick that finally broke the RSSR goalkeeper's resolve as it evaded his attempt to claw it away and dropped into the net.

Substitute Keston Richards would benefit from the space presented due to a 2nd red card issued to RSSR, providing 2 assists from his wingback role ❗--- firstly to midfielder Jeremey Bobb whose left footer nicked off a defender and nestled into the far corner.

RSSR pulled one back on a rebound attempt, after Donnell Thomas had saved the initial shot directed for the top corner.

Keston would pop up again with his 2nd assist, playing thru fellow substitute Jose Centeno Parra, who skillfully clipped it over the advancing goalkeeper and hammered it home defiantly into the open net.

Scorch City FC produced a strong first-half display against Club Sando, creating the better chances but unable to find the breakthrough as both teams entered halftime level at 0-0.

City carried that momentum into the second half and struck just two minutes after the restart, with Captain Myles Yorke rising highest once again to power home a header and give Scorch City FC the lead.

However, momentum shifted ten minutes later as defensive discipline slipped, allowing Jediah King to pull Club Sando level. The visitors continued to press leading to a careless foul inches in front of the Scorch City FC bench, which led to the decisive moment, as the resulting free kick was met by the open head of Club Sando captain Jaquan Aguilleira.

Despite going behind, Scorch City FC continued to battle and created several opportunities to equalize while holding the man advantage late in the match, but the final touch proved elusive.

A disappointing result, but another performance filled with fight, growth, and promise. The team continues to build, and stronger days are ahead.🔥
