Freshman Year Prep for @avarush23 🏀

Over the past 6 months, Ava has logged more than 200 hours in the gym. While we’ve worked together for years, this past year marked a different level of commitment. We made a conscious decision to lock in, not just on developing her game, but on building a stronger, more explosive, and more confident athlete.

Our focus was intentional. We emphasized reading closeouts, creating separation with an elite step-back, developing an explosive first step, and mastering simple yet effective change-of-direction moves to consistently attack the rim.

One thing that has always separated Ava is her ability to shoot the basketball. This year, we built on that strength by spending countless hours refining the details; pump fakes, jab series, seal dribbles, and learning how to make the right read instead of simply the highlight play. Those small details are what elevate good players into impactful college players.

What makes me most proud isn’t just the skill development, it’s her discipline. Ava has shown up every day with purpose, humility, and a relentless desire to improve. That kind of work ethic is difficult to teach, and it’s the reason we believe she’s positioned for a special freshman season.

We have incredibly high expectations because she’s earned them. Don’t be surprised when she’s in the conversation for an All-Freshman Team.

Ava, continue believing in yourself the way we’ve always believed in you. You’ll always be more than a client to us—you’ll always be family. Thank you for trusting us with your journey. We couldn’t be more proud of the young woman and player you’ve become, and we can’t wait to watch you make your mark this season.

Go be great. #CantStop

🏈 Why do the Island Boyz compete in 7v7?

Because it’s MORE than just football.

It’s discipline.
It’s speed.
It’s teamwork.
It’s football IQ.

7v7 sharpens our routes.
It builds confidence.
It teaches our boys how to read defenses, communicate, and compete at a high level.

Every rep prepares us for full-contact tackle in 2026 — and prepares our athletes for LIFE.

This is development.
This is preparation.
This is Island Boyz. 💙🧡🔥
