Made a quick trip to So Cal to test some potential new models for one of the companies I consult for. Was seriously impressed with the overall performance, fit, finish and detail of these new models. One was a 300cc Four Stroke, the other a 450cc four stroke and the last a 300cc two stroke all fuel injected. The bikes performed flawlessly with some of the best stock suspension I have ever tested. Truly impressive motor cycles. by @scotharden

We had a great time this past weekend camping up near Challis with our grandsons Jensen and Layton. We stayed at our friend Ross Williams place Sawmill Station where our good friends Jack and Anne McGrath happened to be camping as well. The highlight of the weekend was fishing at Big Bayhorse Lake. The boys killed it there each catching over 5 fish each. We ended the day at Challis Hot Springs. Idaho has so much to offer if you enjoy being outdoors. by @scotharden

It was a huge honor to help induct Russell Bobbitt into the AMA Hall of Fame this past week. Even more humbling was the opportunity to stand alongside so many legends at the conclusion of the event. World Road Racing champs like Freddie Spencer, motocross/supercross champions like Broc Glover, Flat track champions like Jake Johnson, aftermarket legends like Mike Corbin, promoter legends like Stu Peters, national enduro champions like Terry Cunningham, bike builders like Bill Werner, and industry legends like Mark Blackwell. Speaking of Mark, he was a role model for me personally and my first boss in the Powersports industry. He set an amazing example of what could be accomplished as a racer in the corporate world. He and Rod Bush were two huge influences on my life. And while Rod wasn’t there physically he was with us spiritually. by @scotharden

21 years down the road and it all seems like such a waste thinking about all the great times you should have had with your family, your friends and your beloved KTM. It was a privilege to know you and work alongside you Rod Bush. You left a big mark on a lot of people. Here’s to the good times that we shared like at our KTM Dealer meeting in San Diego in 2000. We really let our hair down that night(pun intended) with you, your mom and dad. Please say hi to them for me! Thanks Scott Cox for the great photos! by @scotharden

We had a blast last night attending the 2026 AMA Hall of Fame Inductions. Overall it was one of the smoothest ceremonies we’ve attended recently. Laurette Nicoll and Perry King did a great job hosting the event. It was great seeing so many old friends(Jack Penton, Terry Cunningham, Mark Blackwell, Damon Bradshaw, Kevin LaVoie, Mark Hyde, Scott Cox, Broc Glover to name a few). The highlight of the evening was seeing Broc recognized as a AMA HOF Legend which is a very rare event. Something they don’t do every year. Saw lots of other friends and associates from my days with Husqvarna, KTM and other companies both from a racing and business perspective. For a couple of rubes from the sticks in Idaho we actually cleaned up pretty nicely. Another highlight was checking in on my 2005 Dakar Rally bike. It seems to be aging much better than me. Ironically it’s parked next to my pal Rodney Smith’s GNCC Championship Suzuki. Seems like we are never far apart. Best of all I got to share the evening with my best friend. Kristi really made me look good. So blessed to share this all with her. Without her I wouldn’t even be there. by @scotharden

Always great to see old friends like Laurette Nicoll at the run through this morning for the AMA Hall of Fame Induction. It will be my great honor to welcome 5X National Enduro Champion and all around good guy Russell Bobbit into the AMA Hall of Fame tonight. by @scotharden

Why do I always depart so inspired, motivated and grateful to be involved in Powersports after spending time with the guy to my right. Kristi and are in Columbus for an event and stopped by to visit Bob Althoff. From managing the oldest Harley dealership in the US , to resurrecting Dealernews, to helping launch NPDA, to looking forward to SEMA and all it might mean, Bob’s passion for our industry is palpable. Thanks for showing us around your “skunkworks” lair today and for always reminding me how cool our sport and community is. by @scotharden

Had a great day yesterday attending the Idaho State Fair with Jensen and Layton. What a fun time. Layton has no fear when it comes to rides. Jensen is more like me. We had a blast! by @scotharden

I just heard the news that JN Robert’s has passed away. I’m speechless. So sorry for his wife Janet and son Jimmy’s loss. They lost an amazing husband and father. For the rest of us who followed his racing career and knew him as the King of the Desert all I can say is God Speed JN and thank you for being such an inspiration to so many lives. Personally speaking, you changed my life. Thank you! by @scotharden
