We want to say a huge thank you to every West District volunteer who gave their time, energy and expertise throughout the weekend.

From officials, marshals, announcers and everyone working behind the scenes, your commitment ensured the competition ran smoothly and gave our athletes the opportunity to perform at their very best at one of the last competitions for the 2025/26 season ☀️

Volunteers are the backbone of our sport. Every session, every race and every success is made possible because of people like you who continue to give back to the swimming community.

1500s are underway in the Granite City, with a busy weekend of racing up and coming! 💜

A huge good luck to all our swimmers, and a thank you to the coaches and volunteers for giving up their time during the heatwave of this weekend 🙏🥵

The SASA North District Open Water Championships 2026 are taking place:

🗓️ Saturday 29th August 2026 | 09:00–17:00
📍 Knockburn Sports Loch

Join swimmers from across Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 for a full day of open water racing in one of the country’s premier open water venues.

Choose from 500m, 1.5km, 3km, 5km and the Team Time Trial, with racing available for age group, junior, senior and masters swimmers.

Secure your place online and be part of the action 🔥

Entries close at 12:00 noon on Wednesday 12th August 2026 by @scotswimwest
