This bathroom was out of square and far from straight and just felt small.
Although we made the actual room size smaller with the new frame layout, the finishes used has made this bathroom feel grande! The Mullins Make over Stage 1:
What started to be just a few tiles ended up being;
A complete structural fabrication upgrade to open up the entry, new linings for a seamless finish, correct stormwater drainage (cause it’s not meant to be going into the house through the ceiling) and a very detailed tile layout as per the clients vision.

New Completed Deck for a client with the same name as me.
Structural steel, timber framing, Spotted gum with stainless steel balustrades, all built with a seamless finish to eliminate fixings & a provision for a future roof extension. taken in Engadine, New South Wales by @scott.u.covered

Dropped ceiling to create a recessed pelmet for our blinds and floor to ceiling curtains.
80m2 of @australian.timber.ceilings finished with mitre edges for a seamless waterfall effect.
A labour intensive build, but well worth it for a sustainable feature. taken in Rosebery by @scott.u.covered

prototype custom baluster for stainless steel balustrades |
This design allows for a seamless finish:
- no visible fixing points between the handrail and decking board.
-It will also allow for a continuous deck surface with no joins around the post.

Ground works & structure ✅
1m of fill sitting behind a brick and sand retaining wall, not an ideal foundation to work on.
So we beefed it up with a solid underground footing that doubles as a retaining wall. Piers keyed in, steel posts raised on structural grout, to prevent any future corrosion from rising damp and tied in with chemset and threaded rod.
Leaves a clean finish with no chunky pods or exposed footings, ready for future vegetation
