Little Levi, crazy to think one year ago today we were checking you and your mama into the hospital awaiting your arrival. Tomorrow you’re going to be a one year old, This year has gone so fast, please don’t let them all be like this. It has been nothing short of amazing having you in our lives. No one really talks about how hard it’s going to be to let go of that dog you got as a young adult, that dog that helped you get through the toughest times of your life.
The dog that loved you unconditionally regardless of how long/how many times you were forced to leave her months at a time. That dog you got when you could barely take care of yourself but you two managed to work it out and build an unbreakable bond. The same dog that loved you when you couldn’t manage to love yourself.
Thank you for teaching me patience and what unconditional love really is Ryder, helping the suffering stop is even harder than watching this disease eat you alive. I’m beyond grateful to have had a dog like you for the last 12 years, I couldn’t even manage to put it into words if I tried my hardest.
You’re taking a piece of me with you and you’ll always be in my thoughts & heart, I’m going to miss you so much.

So many of you know that Ryder has been in my life throughout a lot of good time and a lot of rough times, but a lot of you don’t know that she was actually diagnosed with sarcoma last August and wasn’t expected to make it passed the new year. Thankfully she’s still with us and I couldn’t think of a better way to complete a gender reveal but with her being involved and on her 12th birthday ! We’re having a boy !! 🐶 👶🏼 by @scott__lee_
