📚SCHOLA NOVA 2026/27. Docente ospite (coreografia) Scott Jennings.

Danzatore, performer, creatore e formatore britannico, di base a Berlino, dal 2009 lavora nel campo della danza contemporanea e delle arti dal vivo.
Come interprete e collaboratore ha lavorato con Lloyd Newson (DV8 Physical Theatre), Dimitris Papaioannou, Robert Wilson, Alexandra Waierstall, Alan Lucien Øyen, Maxine Doyle and Matthew Bourne, tra altri.
Dal 2012 al 2018 fa parte del Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, sia performando internazionalmente l’eclettico repertorio di Pina Bausch sia come interprete in due nuove creazioni della compagnia. Insegnante e mentore appassionato, Scott organizza e tiene corsi, workshop e seminari dal 2017. È spesso invitato come docente ospite in scuole, istituzioni artistiche e festival in Europa e nei paesi limitrofi. Ha studiato alla BRIT School (2002-2006) e ha conseguito una laurea di primo livello con lode (BA Hons) presso la London Contemporary Dance School (2006-2009)

"the bulk of my work stems from my interest in bridging the gap between dance and theatre. i draw inspiration from dance makers and theatre directors, as well as from visual artists and circus performers. working with games, scenarios and improvisations, my sessions are guided predominantly through tasks, questions and reflections. my foundational aim is to expand the way we relate, interact and understand ourselves as human beings. i always encourage participants to tap into their own imaginations and use this as a stepping stone to unlock new ways of approaching physicality and creativity. the core themes of exploration for this workshop will include physical communication and storytelling, accessing and understanding the voice, and working with objects and materials." - @scott_jens

Three years ago we premiered Stages into the Now.

A collaboration with Scott Jennings and my father Horst Waierstall, exploring the dialogue between body, film and architecture.

Looking back now, I see how this work opened paths that continue to unfold.

#Throwback SCULPTURE 2020, Edition 2

The electronic musician Grischa Lichtenberger has designed a work for the SCULPTURE Festival, inspired by the sparse sounds of the compositions of early “Ausdruckstanz”, using sounding objects - together with the choreographer and dancer Scott Jennings, a long-time member of the Pina Bausch Company.
