There are few things i love more than Night Beach. If you’ve never seen the moonrise over the Atlantic i genuinely think you should make it a point to do so. It takes all of 10 minutes and the moon is so close to the horizon that you can see it moving with the naked eye. When it first appears it looks like a distant fireball, like a deep red mushroom cloud. On a moonless night the Milky Way makes its appearance. On a stormy night the lightning blocks out everything but itself.

Even on a normal night, when the sky is clear and the lamplight moon casts harsh shadows on the ground, the sand glitters and the ocean shines. At low tide the night beach becomes a desolate dreamscape. An empty expanse buffeted by wind and surf. On the night beach you feel alone at the doorstep of primordial power. On the night beach you feel like you’re almost home. by @scotti_mcfall

🚪🌞Standing At The Door - Dee Scott🏊🥁

Old song, oldish video, wanted to finally get this posted to celebrate my birthday. I wrote this song when i first moved to Richmond based on a poem i wrote about James island years before that. In the video, we see James island from the perspective of a being i lovingly call the Beach Freak (portrayed by my little brother @jakesanta12345 ). Thanks to him for sweating it out in a mask with no eye holes 😅

BOO!!!!! 👻 new EP from me, “Landing” out now on Bandcamp (link in bio) and will hit streamers in a couple days.

This past year has been one of the worst and best of my entire life. But for the first time in a decade, i feel like i have my feet on solid ground. Thank you to my friends and family who always keep me sane. Whether you crash and burn or you glide gracefully to the surface, we all end up back on earth. 🚀🪂🌖

Lots more music in the tank, stay tuned! by @scotti_mcfall
