Blue Ox had the chance to continue onto the third season of Pass the Rock this year, a series highlighting the NBAs future stars of the league.

With the Thunder winning the finals this year, I wanted to drop a few clips/timelines from the @jalenjdubwilliams episode the Blue Ox squad put together.

The first few slides show some layers to the sound design, and the last slide is the ending scene of the edit, showing Jalen and his brother Cody meeting up after their first time sharing the court in an NBA game.

We Beat the Dream Team.
.
This is a special one that the squad at @blue.ox and @tolaj22 helped bring together over the past year.
.
Throughout the past eight-ish months though, I had the privilege of jumping into the timeline in order to help see it through to the finish line. Spending so much time in the timeline on a project of this scale definitely challenged me, but it also taught me invaluable lessons as a creative, and has given me a deeper appreciation for the craft and the teamwork it takes to bring a film like this to life. I feel incredibly lucky to have been part of it.
.
Once again, a huge shoutout to @blue.ox and @tolaj22 for bringing everything together, and to Ken Mowe for creating such a strong edit and making the handoff so seamless. Beyond grateful for the opportunity to work alongside this team.

Today is officially my last day at Spectrum covering the Dodgers and Lakers.
.
It has been an absolutely wild journey these past two and a half years, and to sum it up in one post would be nearly impossible. However, I decided it would be fitting to share some of my favorite moments from the job as a way to reflect on a few of the things I had the chance to capture and be a part of.
.
In order appearing on screen:
- Visiting the White House with the Dodgers in 2021
- @ctaylor_3 walk off in the 2021 wild card/celebration
- Running out with @jamesoutman on opening day
- Magic and Kareem running through plays together during the Lakers Showtime reunion in Maui
- Covering the California School for the Deaf Riverside’s historic and inspiring season
- Game five of the NLDS in 2021
- @mookiebetts return to Fenway park
- @therealgavinlux’s story about his late friend Clay, and their fight to increase awareness about mental health (@felicia_clays_mom - appreciate you and the fam so much)
- @miggyslocker backstory on growing up in Venezuela and experiencing familial heartbreak
- @kingjames breaking the all time scoring record

Capturing these moments is one thing, but getting to do it with an amazing team that cares about the stories we tell is what made it all even better. Huge shoutout to y’all. Also, I would have never had this opportunity without @brett_teal, who initially saw my potential a few years back and brought me into the fold.
.
When I started this job and began posting some of my creative work, I had a little over 2,000 followers. To the 14 thousand of you who have joined in on the journey since then - I truly appreciate you. Something I didn’t expect when I started sharing was the amount of creatives I’d be able to interact with. All of the questions and DMs regarding the creative process are what make this platform special, and I am so grateful for all of the engaging conversations I’ve had with y’all.

A special one for me - my favorite clips from the 2023 Dodger season.

More focused on the cinematography as opposed to the edit on this one, however there are some match cuts I did utilize throughout.
.
As far as music goes, I decided to go against the grain on this one and pick a song that had a bit more emotion to it as opposed to the normal hype type beat. I’ve always enjoyed cutting sports content to this type of music, definitely helps you view it all in a different light. Anyway I hope y’all enjoy 🤘🏼

Some highlights of tonight’s game vs the Rockets

Challenged myself to find a song, edit the clips, put in a few sound effects and color the video in 90 minutes. I knew if I waited on making a video of tonight’s game I’d never get around to it, so putting a time limit on the edit helped keep me focused and actually get it done.
