Definitely one of my most iconic and favorite shots ever...
Just sitting here, reposting this while reminiscing on a good day with good friends!
Hope to see more of these amazing birds this year!

One of many huge waves crashing into Minot's Ledge Light today, this one sending the splash well over the 96' top of the tower!
I got a lot of others too. Fun morning!
Thank you to @rothgalleries for the inspiration. His dramatic shots here inspired me to fall in love with this light, and wave crash shots in general!

A huge 4 point...
That's right, I said it.
Last year he was the largest 4 I'd ever seen. He's bigger this year...
90+" of 4.

My, what big pupils you have!
Way before sunrise. No tripod.
This shot shouldn't exist.
1/40 shutter, 12,500iso, 800mm.
Braced against a tree while he hunted, narrowly missing what may have been a squirrel.
I'll take it!
Owl season is here!

First light harlequin.
Spent some time at sunrise with 30 of these.
It must be winter already...

The very clear atmosphere and straight above 84% waning moon allowed me to get this shot without a tripod even...
When the moon is straight up, especially on a clear night, it passes through less atmosphere which diffuses the moonlight much less. Yes, you'll need to crop more... but with how much of the reflected light reaches you, you can really push the settings!
F/9, 1/6400, 1600iso, manual focus on waning edge,2 second timer shutter. Single image.

While everyone was at Nubble with @benjaminwilliamsonphotography and @jennifereganphotography , I couldn't get up there :(
So here's the 95% waning Hunter's Moon rising behind power lines near my house, lol.
