Real talk: I’d rather give an hour long keynote speech on the fly than ever make an Instagram reel again. And I am not joking even in the slightest. 😂

My posting on social media is like a dog walking on its hind legs. I’m the kind of person who would rather talk on the phone for three hours than text back once. Long, tech-free dinners are my love language. In-person, authentic connection is gold standard living. So now you understand why Instagram really isn’t my jam.

And yet I’ve been told for months that I need to post more about my speaking career if I want to continue to have opportunities. So alas. Here we are. 🩵

In all seriousness, I can’t believe I am lucky enough to speak about joy all over the country. I love people. I love storytelling. And getting to do this never gets old. So, hopefully, more to come. 🤞🏼 More information is available on scperot.com. 🎙️

There are some new faces around here so I figured I should reintroduce myself. 👋🏼 I’m Sarah Catherine but nearly everyone calls me SC, so feel free to go with the nickname even if we don’t know each other personally. I’m releasing my first book, Styles of Joy, this February. It’s been a labor of love that I held close to my chest for a long time so starting to share it has been surreal, exciting, daunting…all of the things. But I’m a firm believer that vulnerability is valuable and joy is much needed. So here we go.❣️

I promise this page won’t entirely be book spam. Sharing what brings me joy means you can expect a little bit of this and a little bit of that while I’m on this book launch adventure.

Happy @dancingwiththestars premiere night to all who celebrate. 🪩🎉🕺🏼💃🏼💫

If you even vaguely know me, you know I love Harry Styles. If you REALLY know me, you know I am *almost* as obsessed with DWTS. That’s why I was a kid in a candy store when my friend @thejeanniemai invited me to last season’s finale. I’m not in the business of ranking best nights of my life but let’s just say this is in the running. 💫

“Why didn’t you tell me you loved the show so much?”
—“I was trying to be cool!!!!”

Re: the last photo…it’s totally cool to make a color-coded whiteboard presentation for your cousin staying at your house during a show night so she’s caught up to speed, right? Right?

If you don’t watch it, I highly recommend. Music, dancing, and a whole lot of joy. 🎈🌈🎺

Two years of The Joy Hotline. ☎️🎈

Part 1 of Styles of Joy is all about cultivating joy in your own life. It’s centered around a seemingly simple question: what brings you joy?

So I figured I’d ask the masses. Thousands of these stickers have been placed all over the country. And hearing from people, unsurprisingly, brings me so much joy. I’ve gotten voicemails, texts, voice memos. People have shared recipes and photos of their dogs and even the occasional confession. I get sent heartwarming stories and notes of gratitude from total strangers. I hear stories of where people have seen “joy in the wild.” I absolutely love it. ❤️

‘Tis five nights before Harry Styles,
Turns Madison Square Garden into Harry’s House.
For a record setting 30 nights of shows,
All of NYC is ready—down to every subway mouse.

The fans are planning their sparkly outfits with care,
Including one in particular you know will be there.
With stickers from Etsy prepped and ready to go,
I’ll have plenty of joy-spreading party favors in tow.

“Are you going all 30 nights?” some ask, eyes aglow.
A short answer AND word I’m currently practicing: no.
“Did you plan your move to the city for this very occasion?”
Be so for real; I moved for my (non-Harry Styles related) occupation!
Regardless, I’m elated by this serendipity—
That my new city is the location of this MSG residency.

“Which song is your favorite?” Hmm hard to choose.
But I will say “Carla’s Song” is known to cure blues.
“Aperture” (a close second) live is a sight to see.
And will there be orchestral strings? Still TBD.

Regardless, the Together Together tour is pure joy.
Can’t wait for American Girls’ turn to cheer for our boy. 🕺🏼
