POV: You become a tourist in your own country… and wonder why you didn’t do it sooner 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✨

On Friday, I spent the day exploring Glencoe, Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands with @timberbushtours, and honestly, it couldn’t have been a better day.

With several scenic stops along the way, smooth traffic (which meant even more time to soak up every location 🙌), and the most incredible tour guide, Jerry, the whole experience was so much more than just a coach trip. From sharing fascinating Scottish history and fun facts throughout the journey to keeping everyone entertained with a quiz, Scottish music, and even photo props at some of the stops, there was never a dull moment.

We were fortunate enough to do a cruise across the legendary Loch Ness too - the views were absolutely incredible, and yes… I was keeping an eye out for Nessie! An unforgettable highlight was hearing a live bagpiper at the iconic Three Sisters of Glencoe - combine this with a breathtaking backdrop and I genuinely had goosebumps.

I also love that Timberbush is a family-owned Scottish business that’s been showcasing the very best of Scotland for almost 30 years, creating unforgettable experiences while respecting the landscapes and local communities that make this country so special.

Whether you’re visiting Scotland or you’ve lived here your whole life, this is your sign to see it through a tourist’s eyes. Trust me - you’ll fall in love with it all over again 🤍

Jeannie’s Bakery NEEDS to be on your Edinburgh list 🥐🤎

I genuinely could’ve sold the place out because I was tempted by absolutely EVERYTHING on display, but eventually I managed to exercise some restraint and went for the famous brown butter & banana bun, a chipotle & cheddar scone and a cappuccino.

And listen… I’m not even a banana fan, but that bun BLEW. ME. AWAY. 😭 Sticky, buttery, heavenly perfection. The scone was an absolute savoury girl’s dream too👌🏼

Safe to say I need another day trip to the capital ASAP so I can stock up on more baked goods and try more of this seriously talented bakery.

✨ A restaurant MORE people need to know about! ✨

We had the most fantastic visit to Chop Grill & Bar (@chopgrillbaruk) at the Sandman Signature Hotel, Glasgow, and honestly, I left feeling genuinely excited about this place. Every single aspect of our experience was outstanding! ❤️

We went for the £100 Shared Indulgence Chop Block, designed for two to share, featuring prime sirloin and fillet steak, two sides, and two steak stoppers. And when I say divine… 🤤

We chose mac and cheese and hot honey carrots for our sides, with red wine demi and king scallops as our steak toppers. What a combination! The quality of the food was exceptional, and every bite was just as good as the last. This was a meal that really ticked all the boxes, and I can see why it’s named the indulgence block.

Prior to the indulgence block, we kicked things off with Haggis Bon Bons, enjoyed cocktails and mocktails that were of the highest quality, and finished with mini sticky toffee pudding. Can we take a moment to appreciate restaurants offering mini versions of their desserts? Because sometimes you just need a little sweet treat, even when you’re full! 🍮

What really made this visit stand out was the service. Absolutely out of this world. Attentive, welcoming and everything you want from a dining experience.

From the food and drinks to the atmosphere and service, this restaurant absolutely delivered. It’s not often somewhere gets every single detail so right, but Chop Grill & Bar did just that.

Glasgow, you need to put this one on your dining list! 🥂

Come hungry… and don’t blame me if you fall in love with @continibites 🇮🇹✨

Contini is just stunning, a grand building on George Street, Edinburgh with gorgeous interiors, beautiful pillars, effortless class - and then there’s the food…

Contini has been around for years, bringing together the best of fresh Scottish and Italian produce, and you can genuinely taste the love and passion that goes into every dish ❤️

We were so well looked after by the incredibly knowledgeable staff - and very, very well fed! There was so much food that, for once, I couldn’t even manage dessert… and if you know me, you know that says A LOT 😂

That focaccia was honestly the best I’ve had, and the burrata? So incredibly creamy, burrata heaven basically.

Then came the arancini - and this is a bold statement, but we were both in agreement… the best arancini we’ve had! 👌🏼

The risotto and gnocchi dishes were rich, hearty and full of flavour, the kind of comforting dishes you want to linger over.

Beautiful surroundings, incredible food, passionate people and that gorgeous Scottish-meets-Italian influence - a definite Edinburgh must-visit 🇮🇹🏛️❤️

Hidden away in a gorgeous basement beneath Little Capo is where you’ll find @capetto__ - the kind of spot that makes you want to linger a little longer 🕯️🍸☕️

Think moody basement vibes, seriously good drinks, intimate corners and that effortlessly cool atmosphere that makes you want to stay for just one more.

The coffee? Gorgeous. The brown butter chocolate chip cookie? INCREDIBLE 🍪🤌

A little afternoon indulgence in the heart of Glasgow 🥂✨

I spent a rainy Sunday afternoon tucked up indoors at Champagne Central inside the gorgeous voco Grand Central Glasgow, and honestly… afternoon tea just feels a little more glamorous here 🍰🍾

Overlooking Glasgow Central Station, this iconic spot is effortlessly elegant, with beautiful surroundings and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s easy to see why the hotel has welcomed the likes of Fred Astaire and Frank Sinatra over the years.

And of course, afternoon tea is best enjoyed with a glass of champagne… because why not? 🥂

POV: you said “just dinner” and somehow ordered half the menu… 👀🥂

We’re talking The Grill at Dakota Glasgow - a seriously stylish spot in the heart of the city, and exactly the kind of place that makes “just dinner” very quickly turn into an entire evening.

Of course, let’s not forget the signature Venetian dip, served complimentary to the table - because apparently Dakota knows the way to my heart is this dish!

We kicked things off with king scallops and lasagne, then things got very serious - steak, chunky chips, truffle and smoked bacon mac & cheese and truffle creamed potato… because apparently ordering one side was never going to happen 👀

The food? Absolutely smashed it. The setting? Effortlessly chic
The result? Very happy diners 😋🥂

And if you’re at the city-centre Dakota, don’t make the rookie mistake of going home after dinner… head upstairs to Jack’s Bar for a cocktail and keep the night going🍸

Dinner plans = sorted.
Self-control = absolutely not 🤭
