How do you introduce yourself in professional settings when you balance more than one type of work?

For me, it can depend on the environment and which type of work feels most relevant. When I want to paint a full picture of what I do, I find it helpful to refer to myself as a multi-disciplinary creative. Here’s why…

It’s taken me awhile to be OK with the idea that my career didn’t move in a straight line (and actually, I had to accept that I never wanted it to!)

I began my career at local print magazine. Seeing peer publications disappear left and right taught me early that I need to be able to adapt

Those early professional experiences, as well as my experience as a first-generation college student, shaped me into the person I am today. I would not be able to teach social media for marketing if I didn’t have the professional background or the lived experience to give me confidence

In addition to working at two Little Caesars locations in my teens, DJing one of my earliest work experiences! In “DJing 101,” our midterm was a house party and our final exam was a party at a 700-resident co-op.

My latest professional chapter wouldn’t be possible without everything that came before. It’s also looked sooooo different! I’ve wanted to work for myself for decades and I’m so grateful to be here.

I had the honor and pleasure of DJing a major milestone for San Diego’s creative community: an exclusive preview event for the San Diego Arts Pass!

The San Diego Arts Pass is a three-day passport that will offer locals and tourists exclusive access to free and discounted arts events from 40+ venues, museums, theaters, galleries and more from across San Diego and Northern Baja, MX. This incredible initiative is organized by the local non-profit @vanguardculture, led by the powerhouse Susanna Peredo Swap (@defydrama).

The San Diego Arts Pass is launching summer 2027, but this exclusive preview event gathered dozens of cultural and civic leaders, artists, tourism officials, and members of the media to celebrate this major moment!

As someone who cares deeply about supporting and showing up for my creative community, it was truly an honor to keep the show going behind-the-scenes and soundtrack the festivities.
