💔 Heartbreak High 💔 S3 Ep 3 💫 ‘The Root Room’ Select grabs from Missy’s party. Was a fun challenge tracking this party from day to night. We had ‘Doctor Day4Night’ himself @the_og_misfit do an amazing job faking the night exterior when shooting interiors (there were so many windows). 💔 Heartbreak High 💔S3 Ep4 3 days shooting in Wynyard’s underground tunnels was worth coughing up dust!! When pre-visualizing the @genesisowusu gig, I told @t.ig_ I wanted the lighting to feel monochromatic and grungy, a slightly more ‘mature’ progression from the previous parties the gang had attended. So of course we chose vomit green as the main colour. 💚 Swipe across —- 1. Slow shutter on @ayeshamadon giving drama 2. Steadicam following behind Cash w/ hard cut to the underground queue 3. Last minute asking standby props @gabstapleton to lay a dingey wet down with buckets of water 4. High angle using Scotty’s cute compact telescopic crane 5. Prop Torches were our key and fill lights, we used a roaming poly board behind camera to bounce that ambient light back in 6-9. 💔 Heartbreak High 💔 S3 Ep 3 💫 ‘The Root Room’ More grabs from this ep. I loved collaborating with director @t.ig_ , I truly feel I’ve made a brother for life. We had so much fun in pre thinking of ways to visually heighten Spider’s freakout in the hallway. Hello friends!! I thought I'd like to shout out my work with Canon. When I’m not shooting TV drama, my Canon kit fills the gaps. This is where Canon has taken me over the last five years. Music videos, short films, documentaries, online content and beyond. Every project here was shot on the C70, C400 or C500 Mark II with a combo of RF primes or Canon cine lenses. While I love being on bigger sets, I'm often working as a solo operator in between long projects. These cameras help me make those passion projects without needing a massive crew.
