Denisa Jilavu as CHRISTIANA.

From getting her first theatre credit through our stage debut, CARNI CRUSH, to being selected for COMMON GROUND 🎉 Denisa is not only levelling up in the CLASSES, but levelling up in her experience ✅ that’s the SCREENLIFT way: you show your work ethic + nail the audition + have the time, we will give back ‼️

COMMON GROUND is set after Teresa, beloved community centre owner, dies 🕊️ There’s no time for tears, because she didn’t make clear WHO owns the centre OR its financial circumstances ‼️ it is up to the community to choose either an UNCERTAIN future with AMMA, who has the community’s trust 💝 OR an UNCERTAIN future with NORA, who has the funding 💷

INTERACTIVE PLAY - THE AUDIENCE decides the fate of common ground 🗳️

24th OCTOBER ⏰
2pm, 5pm, OR 8pm showings available
Don’t lack 🙂‍↔️

If you actually understood what it took to get here... This will age well

Cadence Realism™ now has a public foundation.

For years, I have been interested in the difference between performance that is presented and behaviour that feels lived.

The Cadence Realism™ Manifesto sets out the questions, principles and governing belief behind the work:

Everything Must Be Earned™.

This is not the complete training system. It is the public declaration behind the methodology — the starting point.

The Revised Public Edition is available now as a free 21-page download at leon-gordon.com.

Read it. Sit with it. Tell me what it makes you question.

🎭 “People want to see acting, but they don’t want to see ACTING” 🎭 interviewed by @i.stina_

🎬 @imran.cummings accurately pinpoints that people want to be MOVED by a performance 🎭 they want to see an actor IN THEIR ELEMENT 🌬️

But people don’t want to see “acting” ‼️ they don’t want the illusion of truth to DIE + it be OBVIOUS what they’re watching isn’t real 😒

💭 CADENCE REALISM is the method to lean towards that IMMERSIVE, TRUTHFUL performance as an actor… and YOU can learn it by THIS SEPTEMBER

🎉 If you’re an actor available either…
🌅 Tuesdays 7pm - 8.30pm
OR
🌌 Tuesdays 10.30pm-12am
(UK time) - you can benefit from…

✅ A theory based on TRUTHFUL HUMAN BEHAVIOUR
✅ An INTERNATIONAL community (UK, BRAZIL, IRELAND)
✅ Access to our NETWORK of likeminded actors
✅ Eligibility for stage/screen opportunities, REGARDLESS of level

🚨DEADLINE to apply: 19th September - LINK IN BIO 💬

🤯 Wait… discomfort can be a GOOD thing in performance??? 🎭

🎤 interview by @i.stina_
answered by @hayden_g2

🎬 With Screenlift Studio’s acting method of CADENCE REALISM - the theory that was taught during our recent ACTORS MEET UP - discomfort from moving away from your ‘signature’ acting moves is GOOD 😊

‼️ It means you are sitting in TRUTH, which has nothing to do with ACTOR’s COMFORT ‼️

Want to learn more about this theory? Our classes are opening again THIS September for either
🌅 Tuesdays 7pm-8.30pm
OR
🌌 Tuesdays 10.30pm-12am
UK TIME (we are an INTERNATIONAL community 🇬🇧🇮🇪🇧🇷)
