Home 🫶🏼

This gorgeous home was in a family for a long time, so memories are very precious.

I got out my detective looking glass for this one and focused on the little things - like their “home” doormat, the little table and chairs under the window and of course, their wonderful garden.

Now a new family will make this place theirs, and their story will be told.

Ok… so I’m not the only person that draws houses 🙅🏻‍♀️

So what is it that makes me different to the rest? 💁🏻‍♀️

It’s Me. Nobody else is me.

I will draw your house (or building) with lots of love, in my very own style that has straight and wobbly lines - it will be my interpretation of your home. We all have a style that really, nobody else can create. It’s what makes us .. well us.

I’ve been able to draw a little more this week, and it’s been cathartic.

I’ve been chipping away at some tea towel designs, 3 here in Perth and one over in country NSW. You probably know by now I love a tea towel 🫢

Whilst I am unable to crank out anything super urgent, I am more than happy to draw with a bit of a lead time.

Righto I’m off for a big G&T ✌🏼

It’s been a short while between drinks but I just wanted to shout from the rooftops about this fabulous course I have not long finished . BIG shout out to @elliecompton__ for her Passion to Profession course. If you are a creative and are thinking of dipping your toes into the artistic business life, this course is for you. I received this fabulous book in the mail last week which I cannot wait to get to.

Life for me has taken an unexpected turn and I need to turn my focus away from my business for a short time.

I am still taking commissions if they aren’t super urgent but will need some grace.

Ther are some exciting things in the pipeline and I am excited to be making changes in my business, but for now my beautiful mum is taking up some of my time.

I had my assistant pretty them up for me - we (or should I say Mum) rounded off the corners, punched holes and cut ribbon for me. My other assistant, Andrew - well he put the eyelets in.

It’s been a bit of a team effort here at Scribbled HQ 🙏🏻

Now if you know me and have seen the homes I have lived in - generally speaking they have all been modern.

BUT… I’m a sucker for a more classic house!

You can love both right 🤷🏻‍♀️

I drew this beauty a couple of weeks ago - I would love to renovate this home and make her shine again ⭐️ but sadly she soon will be no more.

Now she has been captured forever by my hand 🫢

I’ve always believed homes and books go hand in hand.

Both are filled with stories… 📚

Both hold pieces of us.

So I have designed this little bookmark, I will give some away with commissions and maybe put them on my website (low cost item 🫢). This shows the front and back 😌

I’ll also get my trusty assistant (aka mum) to add a little something cute to them.
